Need filters cheap? These are your best bet, and the price alone earned two stars.Like others have noted, these are just slightly undersized. So little I still think they're effective enough, but just enough that every time my hvac kicks on I get about 2 minutes of loud squealing/whistle because of the air going through narrow areas where it doesn't quite fit on the sides... very audible from 20 plus feet away.We will use what's left of these for the basement because we are rarely down there. Our main level we ended up having to swap it out for one that fits tighter and seals on the sides completely so it doesn't whistle at us when the hvac starts pulling in air.

Air filters always seem like a ripoff to me. It's a fiber weave that collects dirt that costs an arm and a leg usually.To make matters worse, if you have a non-standard size like these 14x14x1 filters then you are going to pay even more. At the time of purchasing, these were the best price online I could find. For now, these get my vote as the best you can get online.As a filter, they seem to do an adequate job. I don't have dust all over everything, so I assume they are doing fine.

Just as described...The measurements were perfect. Does the job just right. Collects all the unnecessary particles in the air.

These filters fit extremely well, they don't whistle when air flows threw. I have used these before & they filter very well, will order again when I need them.

I did some research when purchasing filters. i got a non-standard size of 14x14. But found some brands like 3M were charging up to 30 USD for 2 or 3. I got from this company and they gave me a set of 6. So my estimation is it will last for a few years if i use 1 set for season.The air filter ratings are all over the place with different companies using another set to distinguish themselves from other brands.I think this is the best value out there.

High quality filters. Much better than the ones another top seller on Amazon sells.

These are very nice filters for the price. They fit our 14 x14 vent returns perfectly. As another reviewer mentioned, these filters are shipped lose in a box, and are not individually sealed, but appear to be new and do not show any obvious signs of aging.

I would rate these a 5/5 but they seem to be on the small side of 14x14. This results in a not quite tight enough fit. That means that some air is leaking around the filter and when the intake turns on, there is a moment where you can hear the filter being lifted and falling because it doesn't sit in the socket well.
