Great thermal printer with the BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE IN WRITING OR WITH PHONE SUPPORT
As a professional Tech Writer, I am always tougher rating products than a regular consumer! I have to be that way because thousands of people read my reviews and I need to be truthful, accurate and honest. I would never recommend a products I didn’t people purchasers would be displeased with, so enough of an introduction. Prior to evaluating this Rollo Thermal Prinyer, I tried 5 other brands and models. By far, this is my top choice. Printer is WiFi ready so no cables to connect. As a matter of fact I control the printer with my IPhone 17 ProMax. Printer is easy to operate and quite intuitive once you connect it to WiFi. It prints fairly quickly with smooth even text, clear fonts and good overall quality. Always, it seems, comes the good and the bad! They instruct you to download a program called ROLLO DESIGN which how you control the printer select fonts and many supplied templates. Problem is, this program is not intuitive at all, and to perform certain actions you have all these machinations you have to go through and not what you expect. Their workaround is utilizing your own design program that is compatible with this printer. So I really had to give this review a great deal of thought prior to it publication. Do I downgrade it due to a poor design program, no. Once last mention, and what you are about to read is something I hardly ever write is that Rollo has the absolutely BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE! Send a text, email and they will respond to you fairly quickly. They also have great phone support and will talk you though any problems you might encounter. So after all, my recommendation is: BUY THIS PRODUCT, DON’T HESITATE, you won’t be sorry!!

Best Customer Support and Technical Assistance for Best Label Printer
The Rollo Printer is such an easy-to-use compact little device. It has been the best addition to my small home-based business when it comes to saving time and helping everything run smooth. The label printing is completely flawless and makes packaging items so much faster than with any other device, or with any other way. The labels are always printed very clearly, never had a smudge or a faint line of text. Everything is easy to read, and this is a very professional machine. Noone printing shipping labels should look anywhere else. This is the company and let me tell you why. We had a little internet outage on our end and as a result we couldn't find the Rollo Printer in the Windows system anymore. I could still use my Rollo manually with a USB plug but for some reason I couldn't figure out why I couldn't print wirelessly anymore. It was frustrating and I tried to figure it out but I'm definitely not the most tech savvy anymore these days. When you buy a printer from Rollo, they give you some information to hold onto. There was a card with their number said to call anytime for any reason. So, we called and spoke to Francis. Francis was by far the best technician I have ever spoke to in my entire 50 years of life, anytime, anywhere. So well spoken, his demeanor was that of a most helpful person, like a very good friend who cares and knows his shtuff. I'm not just saying that, I've spoke to a lot of help desks and while most people are very good at their job some people are extraordinary and Francis is one of those people. He made sure we were on the same page, he understood everything I said to him. I didn't have to keep repeating myself, just say it once and he gets it. He even knew how to spell my complete name without any help. He is a wizard and he is a good man. He is at the top of the class when it comes to his abilities at troubleshooting, finding solutions all while providing first class customer service. I explained the problem I was having. He explained what had happened that I didn't even know. He fixed the problem in less than 3 minutes. He even fixed it so that it couldn't happen again. The man is a genius and Rollo is very lucky to have him working with them. This makes me think very highly of Rollo. Rollo is a tremendous company for providing people like Francis to represent them. It shows they actually care about their customers. As a result I'm sticking with Rollo, even for the labels. I admit, I like the Rollo labels the best. But they allow you to use other companies' labels, which may be cheaper and they also work flawlessly. But from now on I'm only buying Rollo labels. There's more to life than every dollar you can make and this company shows that by not being cheap when it comes to support. I want to support this company because this company supported me when I needed them, in the friendliest best way possible. They are even sending me a free pack of labels. Rollo is the best, I'd say they are unmatched in their field of expertise. Do yourself a favor and become a customer and never have a shipping label issue again in your entire life. It's the one thing you'll never have to think about again. You can trust that it's not only a great product, but that they will be there for you in the long haul. And in case you need one more reason, this is an American made product. This company supports jobs in the USA. This company supports your neighbors, Americans of all creeds, races and colors, not Beijing, not Russia, not Nigerian lotto hustlers, hardworking Americans, the true movers and shakers of the world, like Francis.

Hope you have better luck than I did
Out of the box, the setup card provided seemed like the perfect solution. It didn't work. This was my first call into customer support, which they do not answer the phone, you have to leave a message and they will get back to you normally within 2 hours, but if the call doesn't go through on your end, then they will log the issue as complete. So be careful of this little gotcha. Turned out to automated setup program wasn't working on my machines (Laptop and Desktop) and the service tech installed the printer manually using the IP address. I didn't realize it at the time but is type of install lead to a situation they never thought of. After being on the call with them for over 2 hours, the printer finally got setup on both my machines, but I missed my window to print shipping labels for that day, so my orders were late. After several days, I had a number of orders that needed to be processed, and when I printed the labels, they didn't look right. Somehow the printer was printing the labels as though they were in 8.5" x 11". When I finally got on the call with them, they tried to tell me that the source files were bad, but since they come directly from the carrier, then everyone around the country would be having the issue, not just me. Turns out when they manually installed the printer a setting was overlooked. Ok, mistakes happen. Next day I go to print some jobs, and the printer shows to be offline. I go to check it and the printer is in "Ready to be Set up" mode. They still do not know how this happened, but we had to go through the entire setup process again. Next day, Printer is offline on the label processing system I use, and in the settings on that system Rollo shows up as a different device. The sevice tech suggests swiching over to the new device name, and boom it works. Why it switched names, they do not know. Over the weekend, I come in to process some special orders, and think, I better check the printer just to make sure, and sure to be damn, it is offline again. Several tech calls and multiple days, I finally tell them what I see is being the problem. I mentioned that the printer was manually setup by Rollo via remote link to both of my systems. Instead of the printer setting itself up as a single network device, it was now flip flopping from the device name each machine I had was called. But it wasn't based on what machine was turned on at the time, the printer just randomly selecting which was online / offline. Which meant that in order to print labels, I would have to go into the settings each and every time I wanted to print labels to ensure that the right printer name was selected to print the jobs. NO THANK YOU. Shipping shouldn't take hours let alone days to get it right. Finally after burning through over 300 labels performing testing, I had, had it and asked for a refund but by this time the return time had expired on Amazon, so they finally agreed to setup a return, but not first trying one last time for me to get it right. I suppose the biggest frustration for me was they never once would admit it was their equipment that could be the problem. It was, did you change any settings, did you do anything on your machine....you should reset your network and see if that helps. SMH. Bottom Line: I really wanted to like this printer with the wireless feature and all, but having to spend hours just to print some labels that shouldn't take more then 10 seconds every time, isn't worth it. My Dymo printer may be slow and have minor issues from time to time, but it works and most of the time I had to use it to print the jobs I needed for that day. I'll be looking at another brand now. But honestly I really wanted this one to work. Overall their tech support people are helpful and if you don't have to do a manual install, then this might be the printer for you. Good Luck

I LOVE this label printer, seriously
As a small time seller, I was doing things old school for years - hand writing each label, stating in line at the post office, paying the retail shipping costs. It was fine for what I was doing - just a hobby/etra this and that. Nov. 2022 I thought about if I wanted to up my game a little, venture into a few newer markets, etc. The postal clerks were always saying "hey you know you can save if you do online shipping"... that planted the seed. Most of the printers out there were still doing the paper/ink wastefulness of using a 8x10 sheet of paper for something that only needs to be 6x4 inches - ugh too much waste and hassle isn't there something better? Digging around the web I kept seeing ROLLO pop up here and there. But didn't look seriously until I started digging around on Amazon. Well, after I viewed a few printer, Amazon sent me lots of "hey you checked this out, how about this one?" One had this unit, so I clicked curious to find out more. Well I found out that this one did check off some important features I thought I wanted: -small footprint -does just the label size 6x4 ...or smaller (maybe 2x3 or 4?) haven't tried anything but the 6x4 myself -gosh no INK - sign me up right now!! Then there were those neat features: -WIFI capable - don't know about you, but I LOVE the FREDOM of being cable less. I can be in one room on the other side of the house as the printer, and BING! does it's job... priceless!! As long as I'm in the wifi range I can print from anywhere - computer, cell phone, tablet... oh yeah I've even gone the "I'm too lazy to get out of bed at this moment" however I can do still do a tiny bit of work by clicking print and it's ready to go to the next phase when I get around to it, lol - ah, modern conveniences. -Came with some sample labels so I could start printing right away the moment I opened the box, nice touch thanks! -It's Mac friendly, dons't matter that much these days as it did several years ago - but it's nice to have that support across all the systems - android, windows, Mac, google, etc? I used so many systems they all have they good/bads I tended to stick more to the Mac side since it was more of the music/art stuff I was into when computing than crunching numbers/databases/programming. But I would imagine if it works this well on the Mac I'm sure it's just as nice if not better? in the windows world - not tech guy though and currently don't use much else than my iPhone, MacBook and occasional tablet. The price: - Yes, I do admit this one was a hard one to decide on. In Nov '22 it was more than it is now, maybe because it was newer at that time? That price point wasn't out of reach for me (well the credit limit on my card lol), but I did have to make every penny count for several months as it was not something I can just drop $300 on a moments notice. After I got through the wild holiday season, I knew this one was the absolute right purchase for me. Not only did that $300 come right back in that short sales session/madness (Yes I LOVE me some Christmas, LOL) but I had more than doubled my business, just with the help of this little printer. I got to the point where I found the max amount of items I can personally handle a day realistically, and its actually about 2/3rds MORE sales per day than where I was a year ago before this printer. Worth it? YEP NO QUESTION!!! If you're on the fence, jump off now and go for it. Some ways I kick myself for not doing it earlier, however I think this one came along at just the right time for me and now I know what exactly I want in a label printer. This one checks all the marks and then some. I did learn a ton from doing things the old school way, and for some things that works perfectly. but now I go this. No more lines, cheaper rates than retail out there (just do your homework first before jumping into a "great offer you can't pass up") - even Rollo has their own service via app/web that offers those same great rates plus connects to channels - I however have not used those features yet, not sure if those apply to my specific needs or not. However nice to have them should those needs arise someday. If you're on a tight budget like me, it might hurt at first - I'm okay with eating "top ramen" for a month if needed. If I were in a position to have more than one, you bet I would - but that's only in fantasy land, real world you gotta pay your bills AND eat - one is enough! I will be purchasing Rollo printers, they have proven to be a quality unit. Well worth the investment. It's not cheap, but when you need packages to get there and be consistent, do you really want to cheap out? Not me. The labels I got through amazon "9527 Product" work very well, stick nicely to all box surfaces, and are priced nicely as well. I'll keep going to them for the labels, here on amazon they do have some great deals which can be a nice bonus, but well worth the reg price @ .02/label. Thanks Rollo and Amazon!! Happy customer!! :)

Worth Paying More for Reliability and Daily Use
After my first thermal label printer failed within the first year, I decided to spend more money on a Rollo instead of buying another inexpensive replacement. The first printer was a copycat model that cost about one-third as much. When it stopped working, it couldn't be repaired, and customer support was nowhere to be found. That experience taught me that saving money up front doesn't always save money in the long run. I've been using the Rollo every day to print 4x6 shipping labels, and it's been excellent. The printer is fast, the labels feed consistently, and the print quality is always sharp and easy to scan. When you're shipping packages every day, reliability becomes much more important than saving a few dollars on the initial purchase. The wireless printing has been a great feature once everything was configured. Being able to print without keeping the printer connected by USB makes my shipping station much cleaner and more convenient. It has become one of those pieces of equipment that I don't even think about anymore because it simply works every day. My only suggestion for Rollo would be to create more setup videos for wireless printing with the most common ecommerce platforms and shipping software. The printer itself works great, though having step-by-step videos for platforms like eBay, Etsy, Shopify, Pirate Ship, ShipStation, and other popular services would make the initial setup easier for new users. Looking back, I don't regret spending more for the Rollo. It has been dependable, produces professional-looking labels, and has earned my trust through daily use. If you're shipping packages regularly and wondering whether it's worth paying more than the cheaper alternatives, my experience says yes.

Best label printer for small business
I love love love 💗 my Rollo! Small, powerful, fast, efficient, economical! I had a non-printing issue lately and their phone support, Ian, helped me out. He sent me a link so he could see the Rollo and devices through my iPhone camera. So awesome! Our phone session was successful, professional and quickly resolved. I spent about 5 hrs trying to fix it myself. This is heat to go if you’re stuck. Thank you, Ian! I appreciate you.

It's been mostly pretty great but...
It has been pretty nice and I don't just use it for shipping items I use it for labels for storage as well as labels for food and farmers market items custom labels and colored labels etc. that being said I will say that I find myself going to the counter to drop off packages rather than avoid the line and drop them off at the counter or side counter at USPS mainly because I still need a receipt if you are shipping things that are like $25 a below I think it would be worth getting but if you are shipping anything over $50 or over $75 dollars and especially if you are shipping something over $100 dollars I would maybe pass and just use a QR code to have the store print the shipping label just so you can get a receipt back because if something happens to your item (which is happening more and more it seems like) you will need that reciept as proof of you dropping it off. That being said I am glad I bought it as I use for other things not just shipping... Just make certain you have it near your router don't have your router in the corner of your house and expect it to connect from the opposite side of your house.

Great Printer and Excellent Customer Service
The team is always very helpful and quick to respond whenever I have any questions or issues. The printer works great, and if you use it often enough, it will eventually pay for itself through the savings. It’s definitely worth the investment! It has helped me save extra money with the small business I run on the side, and I’ve been very happy with both the printer and the kind, helpful team behind it. Highly recommended!

the app only works in US.
amazing printer, i use it wired as the app only works in US, so i guess the cheaper rollo would be better in unsupported countries. i wish i read the comments before buying the wireless one. hopefully someday the app might get supported. Edit : they updated the app and it’s working to some degree in UAE.
