Where 40K jumps the shark
It's not a bad book, it's not 40K. To attempt to compete in an already crowded space and dumb down and make it kid and parent friendly and not stay with what got you here, you are going to lose everything.Just wanted to add an update. Part of what I was referring to is a character that others already mentioned, Lukas, the idea that he would ever become a Space Marine, let alone on top of that a SPACE WOLF!, the most least likely chapter to have a character like that. Clearly the character was inspired by Loki, can't help wonder if this was pushed by the new investors. I still laugh and shake my head.

Izzakar!
I'm a huge fan of the Thousand Sons, and the Space Wolves are growing on me, so really enjoyed this work. It's a current timeline book, but only one brief appearance of a Primaris. First time I'd read Lukas - certainly an interesting Wolf.Finished with my crush on the Sons continued. Loved the scene when the Wolves realized the truth of their orders at Prospero. Great fun, easily recommended.

It just kind of gave up
This book started out rather well. Explaining what happened go Fenris after the most recent TS invasion and describing the Space Wolves. Then we hit the middle and everything just kind of stops making sense. The trap in the warp is never explained and from there it all goes down hill fast. Why include Lukas? Why did a navigator go down to the surface of a hostile world. The book ended up making one of the most powerful psychics look like a bumbling moron. And then it just ends.

Fantastic read. Slow at first.
Took a while to get into this book. Was honestly quite boring till the heroes arrived at Prospero, but from there, it was incredible. So much fun. Couldn’t put it down. Loved also learning more about not just the Space Wolves, but the Thousand Sons as well. Another fantastic addition to the Space Marine Conquests series.

History of the thousand sons
This book goes in depth on the making of the chaos knights of the thousand sons before the heresy and what led to the fall of Presepo

Absolutely abhorrent
I cannot believe the state of my order: all the books are ruined, one of the covers is separated, and the amount of mold (both in smell and quantity) is unbelievable. I dont know how there could be such little care, and I have been waiting way too long to have it come in like this.

Fantastic book that extends the storyline of the space wolves and the thousand sons!!
Loved the entire book! Really loved the play between the old and new. A must read for any space wolves fans!

A good conclusion to a major event in Warhammer.
"How do you forget how to build a Tank?"- Some Liberius of the XVA very good read, a little fast on some parts and the Characters names can fly by, but it concludes admirably. I wish a certain Wolf and Red Wizard got more time to explain each others points of view, but it was great all the same.10/10 wolves

Promised so much, delivered so much less
The concept of the story was solid enough but could have been so much better. The parts on Fenris stretched my incredulity as a space wolf fan. The attack of their ship in the warp was soooo clichéd. The ending... I won't add spoilers but I don't think the author is able to present believable character reactions.

Not great, not terrible.
As a book it's probably no more than 3/5 really. But as a 40k fanatic I'm giving 1 full star more so 4/5. It's just that the Emperor light is ever shining upon us in these darkest of days and the sons of Russ are back to Prospero for some very unique mission. So it is what it is... it's cool and it's 40k and I love that galaxy. If you are a specific fan of the Space Wolves (which I am not actually) it might even go to 4.5/5 for you. But yeah... don't expect to be blown away or something. It's just a solid 40k text from one of the original GW authors. For the Allfather and the Wolf King.

Great read
If I am honest I always enjoy reading these books space wolfs rock all of them, this isn’t a battle of the fang or what ever they are calling it now a days but it a great read.If I could give people some advice get audiable and listen to the Horus heresy £18 for 3 books then read other side books like this and the curse of the Wolfen, Ragnar blackmayne and the primark series while chilling out.

A well paced story
I enjoyed this book despite disliking the wolf boys and the thousand suns which says alot for the author and the way he carried the story forward actually had me rooting for both sets of idiots in the end, and ending I might add seemed extremely rushed but still happy I read this instalment

It was a very good read about the Space Wolves in the present timeline ...
I am in two minds about this book. It was a very good read about the Space Wolves in the present timeline attempting to resume Horus Heresy Space Wolves. Unlikely plot unlikely ending but a good story nonetheless.
