Just finished our Sun Unit and students made necklaces using these beads. They were totally excited when we went outside to see the "sun's magic". Beads are perfect clean/white indoors and change quickly when outside. The purple and pinks change faster than the yellow but after a while you can see the yellow okay. They were the perfect size for toddlers to put in string and worth the money.

..love handing these out to kids at the family reunion, they are very captivated by the colour change when going from inside to outside in the sunlight. It might even make a great science fair project...use them to detect UV, and then see if various sunscreen lotions on clear plastic sheets really do block the UV.....

These definitely change color in the sun and it happens very quickly and the beads are very bright. Worth every penny, and science in action!
