No set-up instructions with product assembly and poor customer service for assistance thus far to work through difficulties.
We received what appear to look like very nice walking poles but unfortunately there were no instructions that came with them and viewing the 2 instructional videos on this page did not help. It appears there is a malfunction or they are a faulty piece of the equipment themselves because it should not be that hard to figure out how to put them together, nor do I feel we should have to figure it out as it's the company's job to provide a set of simple instructions. We are reached out to the Jill Up company 3 times via e-mail and I have written on this amazon page for the product asking questions and commenting on others posts with not one response from the Jill Up company so far and it has been well over 48 hours since they were delivered. We are disappointed because my father was looking forward to using them and they do look like they would be a nice pole if we could figure out how to put them together OR find out if they are indeed a faulty pair of walking poles. I have tried to look up a customer service phone number for the Jill Up company with no success. We are very disappointed so far for the confusion and lack of ease assembling the poles and the lack of customer service up to this point. If we do not hear back in the near future, will send poles back and look into other options. If someone from the Jill Up company could please reach back out and help us figure pole the issue, it would be greatly appreciated. Would love the opportunity to try to use them before just sending back but need assistance. These are for my father. If anyone else has other suggestions for walking poles they have liked, please comment and let us know as this was our first attempt at purchasing them. Thanks.

After 1,000 miles still the best poles I have ever owned!
Best hiking poles I have ever owned. After over 1,000 miles of use hiking in Hawaii and New England, I have to say that these are the better than the famous-named poles for which I have paid over 4 times as much in the past! I am just a consumer like the reader of this review. I have nothing to gain here, but I had to post a review and comment about these poles and the Jill Up distributor. You do have to fold them properly, and it takes a couple of minutes to figure out how to install and adjust them. After that, if you can find a better pole, buy it. I could't find one! I have owned over 8 sets of poles in my life (I usually give them away to family and then buy new ones for myself). High quality cork handle grips. Strong graphite shafts. Durable aluminum connections. Stainless Steel cable connects the folding shafts. Removable rubber tips. What's not to like? This was the first set of folding poles I ever purchased. I was apprehensive about how they would hold up. They are strong, alight and, well, perfect. I asked Jill Up for a little help, and they could not have been better. I hope they sell something else I can buy!

Not Up on the Jill trekking poles....
The springs inside the hiking pole were broken the first time my daughter hiked with them. It literally fell apart on the trail. I gave her my poles and we went on, but it made for a long day......

They were very easy to use and adjust quickly
I bought these poles before hiking in Colorado. They arrived quickly and fit into my carry on! They were very easy to use and adjust quickly. My boyfriend bought some expensive ones, but he ended up liking mine way better. I would recommend these poles. The double grip handles are really nice for ascending and descending mountains. They fold up quickly and compactly to fit in your daypack easily. They are lightweight and sturdy. Also, the costumer service from the company is wonderful. I had a small issue with one of my trekking poles on one of my mountain descents, and the company was quick to fix the issue.
