Great find!! These are modern style shifters for a classic 3x8 gear system. Hard to find this product anywhere. If you want to modernize your breaks and shifters these will work! I have used them on 2 classic hardtails.

The good these shifters present as new of good quaility. The bad is the cables appear to have been installed before as both cables have small kinks in them. I will attempt to install but I suspect I will have to change out the cable for the right shifter. As I have ordered cables in bulk its not a big problem. I ordered these from Amazon warehouse saving a couple of dollars I thought. I would spend the couple of additional dollars to ensure you get the pristine cables. In defense of the warehouse when they sold me bike chains(package had been opened) they made a point to throw in additional masterlinks to ensure I had everything needed to install never used bike chains at a great price. These are several dollars cheaper than Shimano but appear to be of similiar quality. I will update this review after I use them a few weeks if actual experience proves otherwise

These are fine for those needing an economic replacement for their 24 speed shifters.Also, trigger shifters are so... much better than the twist grip shifters. So these are a good replacement for them as well.Build quality has suffered slightly, from past years, and these feel slightly cheaper, in build quality.Minus a star for that, but they seem to werq just fine. Should probly just be a half star but it is what it is.I have no complaints and all the Shimano shifters I have had over my 50+ years of cycling have been up to the task, giving precise shifts up and down the chainrings and cassettes.So it's hard to say anything too bad about them.

the left one broke during installation i assumed it was just user error but if they were more durable it wouldn't have happened.. the right one got installed just fine and works well but i just noticed that the shifter cable split at the shifter end... theres cable just hanging out as if half of the wires ripped because the cable was cheap... id recommend spending a little more for the real deal i replaced the left one with the shimano one this one resembles and you can really tell the difference in quality
