This is roughly the same weight as other enamel coins I've had, but not as thick/heavy as some of the denser military challenge coins. It feels like it's meant to be a random collector's item, but it'd be pretty disappointing to give this to a kid, and the design isn't exactly anything interesting enough to want to show off or keep around.If you're getting this for a child, I can guarantee they'd prefer to have the $9 in regular dollar (or half dollar) coins instead. Or $9 in random country currency to use it as an opportunity to show how different coins look around the world. Which would also help play into the tooth fairy theme if you're going that route, since it would make sense that the tooth fairy would have to carry different currencies for all the countries that would be visited.

This coin is such a great idea and so much nicer than what I was expecting! It weighs 1.2 oz and is 1.75 inches. The colors are so vibrant and the paint is sealed nicely so it won't chip. My daughter has a few loose teeth so we plan on giving this to her as a "special" coin for when she looses her very first tooth, which she already so excited for. I can't wait to see her face when she finds this under pillow!

This coin is so cute and great quality. It’s a nice size, has some weight to it, and the images on the coin are just as pictured. I can’t wait to give this to my daughter when she loses her first tooth soon! It’s a little pricey to get this for each tooth, but I think this is a great special gift for the first tooth and I know she will love it.

This coin has a little weight to it. It’s great! perfect for a tooth fairy coin and can’t wait to use it. (My kid hasn’t lost her tooth yet, but really soon) It comes with a little pouch as well so gives it a little bit of a surprise element too. GREAT quality. A little pricy for the piece though.

My son’s first tooth fell out and he was so excited to put it under the pillow. This is a nice little coin that we can put under his pillow with some money. He was so excited to find his coin under his pillow. The oin is very sturdy and heavy and not cheap like at all. He loved it!
