Replacement Universal Radiator Cap, White Plastic, Starpack Hardware 72809

My radiators are microbore and I'm guessing 30 years old. I ordered one pack which came with 2 caps which was fine. Unfortunately they didn't fit my radiator, the point at the top of my radiator valve was too big to fit the internal hole in the top of the cap. Maybe for newer radiators? Could probably return. Just make sure you don't wreck the plastic bag so it can be resealed? update:---- I realised that the 'internal hole' inside the cap which was too small, was just a hard plastic washer sitting in the cap. With a pair of slim nosed pliers I took this out. I then ran the sharp edge of a pair of scissors around the hole to make it bigger, tried it on the radiator, then put the washer back inside the cap - bingo! it fits. Alternatively I could just have removed the washer and put something else in there, like a heat proof putty or something.

says pack qty 2 but one shipped.When challenged got asked to supply details of what I'd purchased even though my query was referencing the order details. Since then my emails have been ignored. Also reported to Amazon as item not as described .

I ordered these to cover damaged and missing small bore system heated towel rail valves. The body is slightly larger than the old ones, but they are held snug and secure by ther internal rubber washer, which is a tight fit on the brass valve stem. ( one had a missing washer, but I made one from a large tap washer from my spares box rather than contact the seller and wait etc)

PLEASE NOTE, this item is a single pack only, whilst I realise the item listing doesn't state 2 Pack, the first picture on the listing shows 2 of them and the 'item description' clearly states 2 Pack.The cap has been returned as a matter of principle and an order placed for another at almost 1/2 the price

These were described as “universal”, but they didn’t fit my radiators, so a waste of money.They weren’t expensive, so I just threw them away, rather than go to all the trouble of returning them.
