This method really works!
I've had eczema my whole life, sometimes severe sometimes moderate but always there. I was always embarrassed to wear shorts or sleeveless clothes because on any given day at least 30% of my skin surface area was rashy, red, and itchy. Back, front, legs, arms, it was everywhere! I've been getting prescription topical medications for years. Those definitely help, but the ONLY thing that truly eradicated my eczema was the method in this book, which teaches you WHY eczema keeps coming back, and how to apply the medications correctly (which none of my doctors or dermatologists ever did!).Other books I've read were written by condescending doctors who had no empathy for patients with eczema and the sum total of their advice was "don't scratch." In contrast this book is written by a lady who herself suffered from very severe eczema, and worked with a clinic in the UK that specialized in this sort of thing (every dermatologist in the US is more concerned with helping rich old ladies with their wrinkles). The method in this book is very exacting and requires a lot of discipline, but I managed to follow the instructions exactly and over the course of 3-6 months my chronic eczema finally cleared up! I still get occasional flareups but now my body is 99% eczema free!I can't recommend this enough for those with chronic eczema that keeps coming back over and over. This book will teach you how to control it through discipline and correct use of topical medications. I won't lie, it's tough going at first but if you stick with it, and use the helpful charts and tables to help you keep track of your progress, you will eventually see amazing results.I wish this book was sold in the US, but I had to order from the UK site. I'm actually going to order a bunch more to hand out to friends and relatives who also suffer from eczema. It's a slim volume and easy to read.

Thank you for writing this book
I just want to say thank you, thank you, thank you for writing this book. It changed my life. I'd had chronic hand eczema for three years and it’s hard to explain to anyone who hasn’t been through it, the shame, the frustration, the way it impacts everything from cooking, to work, to your relationships. This book helped me see that I had control over my eczema, I didn’t have to just keep holding my breath hoping I wouldn’t have another flair up. My eczema has now gone (touch wood, I’m still nervous to say so!) and I just want to say thank you for taking the time to write this down for others. I will be spreading the word.

the book also recommends using steroids for several weeks which can have very bad side effects - I now try to only use ...
helped me to realize when I was scratching out of habit however breaking the scratching habit with the reversal technique the book outlines is very hard and not effective I found. most or all of my scratching happens at night while i am asleep so the habit reversal technique does not work for this. also I think while trying to control scratching is important, it is important to figure out the triggers for your eczema - food, environment, stress etc. the book also recommends using steroids for several weeks which can have very bad side effects - I now try to only use steroid cream when I am having a severe flare up and only for 5 days to a week, gradually reducing the amount.

If there was a solution to eczema, my dermatologist would've told me by now
Not a helpful book for someone that has extremely severe eczema/topical steroid withdrawal.
