A Stool on the go!
This is a pretty fun item. A foldable stool that looks a bit like a handleless saucepan when folded and a floating lantern when it is uncoiled. In reality, it is a pretty handy little stool.Notes-- First thing first.... is it comfortable? Well, it is a bit like sitting on a bucket. Actually, it is a lot like sitting on a bucket. I am not sure if I would want to sit on it for 12 hours, but it works great in a pinch.- The light-up version is both weird and kinda cool. It really lights up and can be seen at a pretty long distance. It changes colors, flashes, and is pretty bright. I am not sure why you would need it to light up.... it doesn't really work as a flashlight - but it is a cool novelty.- The stool fold/unfolds like an accordion. You twist the top and bottom and pull it apart (or push it to fold it ). My wife struggles with having enough strength to do it. I am not saying you have to be superman, but it does take a bit of upper body strength.- Seems pretty sturdy. I'll admit the first time I sat down on it I was afraid this thing would fold up and I would fall to the ground.. but it held with no problem.- When it is folded up it is pretty small... about the size of two frisbees.Final Verdict - I wish it folded/unfolded a little easier, but it really is a pretty cool little stool. It is ideal for throwing in the back of your car/truck in case you need a seat at a park or ballgame!

Perfect for Me.
The media could not be loaded. I’ve never been able to sit cross-legged and those compact folding hammock-style chairs are a pain to assemble and especially to enter and heave myself out of.A stool is fine but who carries a stool to a park?—I Do if it is this stool. It is very light, inconspicuous, and compact. A carry strap is attached. It fits easily in a daypack or tote. It’s faster to open than a jack knife. You pull-twist to open, then pull-twist-push to close.Capacity is listed as 286 lbs, but I wouldn’t dare. My 158 lbs. were easily supported when I stood on it. Incidentally, don’t stand on it! It seems sturdy enough, and your weight locks the sections in place, but it seems too narrow for full stability, although it seems safer in that regard than the usual rigid stool: it's very flexibility tends to push you back into a centered position. Nonetheless, a stepladder is what you need to reach that cookie jar on the top shelf.

The hits are there along with a few misses
The media could not be loaded. Overall, this is a nice stool. It’s a tad shorter than others I’ve tried but not so much that you will notice unless using it with other stool variations. The built in LED option is unexpectedly fun. It the battery compartment is under the stool handle and locks closed. Unlocked you twist to open the compartment and add two AA batteries (not included). The battery compartment doesn’t appear water resistant so YMMV with use in adverse weather. The lights are super bright and visible in almost any light. The warm primary light is pleasant while the color lights are a fun touch. Unfortunately, setting one allows white led lights but setting two and three do not let you select an individual color. There is also no dimming option. The light switch is a tiny rubber covered nub inside the seat handle. With batteries inserted, you may find yourself hitting this button repeatedly as you try to open and close the stool. That is the other issue. The stool doesn’t open and close smoothly. Stretch-pull and twist is the best way to describe the function expected but it doesn’t always work. I went back to another model again to see if I was missing something and the other model operated smoothly and without any issues getting stuck during opening and closing. That said…this one has lights and a fun color on top of rubber feet that should allow easy use on smooth surfaces. At the going price of $50 I would probably pass on this one but, on sale or looking for a gift idea for someone who camps or spends time at outdoor festive events…this might be up your alleyPros:- Compact- Carry strap connected permanently- Latch to keep stool closed during transport- Rubber feet on bottom- Fun colorsCons:- about 1 inch shorter than other versions- harder to open and close than others- light options limited (can’t choose single color)

Compact and Handy (see video)
The media could not be loaded. Sturdy. I stood on it and I weigh 170 lbs. The instructions page says it has 12 positions, I tried a few and did one in the video, about half the size and the full size. I like that is closes compact. I can keep this in the trunk of the car for unexpected times when I'll need it or in the closet to reach something high. It's very easy to open and close. Pull it open, just pull them apart, do not twist. The strap has velcro on the side to remove and elongate the strap with the fastener, so you can carry on your shoulder for camping, etc.CAUTION: Make sure to stand on the correct end, because the other end is slippery. It has little stands on the end that you don't stand on.
