Loving this roving. I'm teaching myself to spin with a Turkish spindle and this stuff has been awesome. There is a bit of grass from time to time, but it's easy to pick out and keep going.The staple length is about 4.5 to 5 inches so it is forgiving for someone just learning. I went from park and draft to actually spinning within a week, and I believe the long staple length has had a lot to do with it.4 June 2019Decided to dye some staples for fly tying. I'm using rit dye mixed with denatured alcohol mixed in a Gatorade bottle. This stuff took colors well. This is from letting them soak overnight. These colors are exactly what I was expecting from this dye.

I bought this, looking for an economical material to use as core for my felting projects. It has been that and more. I've used it as finish as well, and even dyed some for a custom color I needed for an important project. I'm sure I'll be buying again when this runs out.
