I found the scent to be very nice. Not too weak, not too clovey, not too cloying or sweet. I think that it's a perfect middle-of-the-road bay rum scent, and a safe bet for the company - especially with how picky everyone is, and how extreme the reactions can be. This bay rum scent hits the sweet spot, in my opinion. The lather was wonderful; nice cushion, slickness, and glide for a straight razor shave. Those that use DE's should be more than happy. The soap generated a nice creamy lather that wasn't too thick or too watery. It kind of reminds me of marshmallow cream, and I gave it the test run using horrid municipal tap water. If you use distilled water, like I normally do, you should be thrilled.With Prime, I paid $15.44, delivered, for the 4-pack. I didn't bother to spend too much time really bargain hunting for a better price - not that I'm rich, it's just that's <$4. for a puck of soap isn't worth researching and haggling over. Solid value and performance. I'm going to buy more. Some people hoard toilet paper, some people hoard shave soap.

I settled on cup and brush some time ago. I like Col. Conk Lime. I find it to be economical and I can always see how much I have left. Shave daily and a cake still lasts along time. Less messy than aerosol, warm, and ready to apply more if needed with out any fuss. One's shaving preferences are personal... but that's my take, the other "flavors" I've used work just as well. You'll need a dedicated mug, I used my old cracked squadron mug. it only needs to hold the soap cake, no real worry about leaking. The brush can also be from Amazon, or your local drug store... It's become a very easy system for me.

He has sensitive skin and is not a fan of canned shaving cream so he experienced with several products and this was the winner. He is very particular about personal hygiene products. They must not irritate his skin. They must smell nice AND not have too strong of a scent. They must be economical. They must do the job they are intended to do.This product meets all of his demands and he very satisfied.

I always liked this, but my latest shipment is more brown than green and does not have as strong of a scent. Did the recipe change or something?

Very good quality item. My shaves using this cost far less than using shaving cream and it helps me to get a nice close shave without any nicks.The scent can’t be beat and a foams up very nice, especially if you use a shaving bush.

This is a very good shaving soap, actually, it is the best I've ever used. Provides a nice easy shave. The scent could be a little stronger, but it is very nice.

I kind of bought this out of nostalgia. Remember my grandfather using a shave mug and brush when I was a kid. Since I found an Old Spice shave mug at a flea market, had to get the shave soap and give it a try. I'm a convert to the old fashioned shaves.

I like it. I love the lime smell. It is strong when using it but wears off gradually. Its easy to melt into any shave mug or bowl of your choice. Its a glycerin soap, so it will soften up really well and lather well. I'm an everyday shaver and it took me 3 months to go through one puck.
