Louise Maelys Wooden Wide Tooth Hair Comb for Curly Detangling Sandalwood

I am very happy with this purchase. I broke my old acrylic wide tooth comb and needed a new one. Decided to go with an environmentally better choice. I was very surprised by how much better this comb performed for my hair type. I have dry, wavy- curly, thick, fine, shoulder length, salt-n- pepper hair. Did I say dry? Like Sarahara desert dry that tangles and becomes a rat's nest easily. This comb slides through my hair so easily ( I still have to be careful on the snarly ends) and does NOT create that lovely static electricity . I do not end up with a fistful of hair in the comb when I use it. It helps distribute the hair conditioners and oils. I never would have thought that something as simple as the material a comb was made from would have such a dramatic difference in the performance of an everyday hair tool. Quality : Well made, easy to hold, and has a good weight to it. Well worth the price. It is also pretty. I am undecided if a small hole in the end if the handle so that you could hang this on the backside of a cabinet door would be an improvement or not. Wish I made this change years ago. I highly recommend this product! 7-4-26 Still use this comb daily. Added pictures of what it looks like after 2 years. I just cleaned and oiled it a few days ago. I don't have to clean it often - This was the third time in 2 years.

Im honestly surprised by the negative reviews. I've had it for a few days and I didn't notice a strong odor. So far it's been really sturdy, I use it to massage my scalp before and after my oiling. I have fine hair with a tad bit of waves. I love it!

I had no idea how much better a wooden comb would be for my hair. I bought both a wide tooth and narrow tooth comb from this company. I love them. There is a nice feel and smell to them.

I own a plethora of hair brushes and combs. I am an African-American woman with thick natural 4C hair which is why I own a plethora of hair brushes and combs! But let me tell you since I purchased this comb I have not picked up anything else to detangle my hair! You know that sound you hear when you detangle your hair and it sounds like when you rip velcro apart?! Yeah... no more of THAT! This comb,with only a couple passes, detangles my hair. I also have noticed WAAAY less hair left behind than with any of my other styling tools. Another BIGGIE - it doesn't SLIP in my hand when I am applying products. Which is amazing because the handle is so smooth. It was surprisingly heavy, but good heavy, that lets you know you're holding something well made. It's a great size/length too, with wide sturdy teeth. Well buffed to a smooth glossy finish. This comb is built to last! Not one snag of my hair have I experienced and I have had this comb a couple months now. I can't say enough. It has made my wash days so much easier. I will be buying another one for sure! It's magical! Buy it! Buy TWO!

Unfortunately my comb came with these same odd fibers on the bristles as another top reviewer previously commented on. I didn’t think it would happen to me, but right out of the packaging I noticed it was full of them. I’m not sure if it’s fiberglass or something else from manufacturing, but I carefully wiped them off with a cotton pad without touching them then washed the comb about 10 times, making sure to get between every bristle well with soap and a brush. Now that it’s clean I don’t think there’s anything to worry about, but just be cautious. It’s overall well made, a nice weight and glides through your hair smoothly. I bought it hoping it would be less harsh and damaging than my other brushes, and I it like it so far, aside from the initial packaging concern!

This is the perfect comb for long hair. No pulling and helps so much with untangling hair. Thanks, being wood which is so good for the hair.

Smells great and it's so polished and smooth. Plus it's just pretty. It's also lasted a while now. Smells like iconic sandalwood.

After using this comb for several months now, I can say I really enjoy it. It doesn’t pull my hair & I’ve noticed less breakage. I love that it’s more eco friendly too. It holds well in my hand and easy to use. I love the wide tooth space because it helps with preventing damage to your hair. I like the wooden natural color.
