Actually makes pod coffee drinkable!
I wasn't interested in Third Wave Water for my home-brewed coffee as I do individual pour-overs using my really good well water with its natural mineral content. However, it seems almost everyone I know (and visit) now use Keurig machines. I absolutely hate coffee that comes from these machines, and I have tried every brand available (including packing my own freshly ground coffee into a reusable filter). The water others use ranges from bottled spring water to filtered to tap -- every Keurig cup is almost undrinkable to me, so I now just politely decline. When I saw Third Wave Water demonstrated on Shark Tank, I immediately ordered the Classic version as I was shortly going to visit my daughter for several days who has a Keurig. I mixed the packet with a gallon of distilled water, shook it up to dissolve the minerals, then filled the reservoir with the treated water. There was a distinctive 'chemical'-like bite to the first cup I tried, so I poured the reservoir water back into the distilled water bottle, shook it up again, and let it sit for a while ... then I shook the heck out of it! I do believe the minerals just hadn't been dissolved thoroughly the first time as the second cup, and every cup thereafter during my 5-day stay was actually good. I didn't dump any brewed coffee down the drain at all, but finished every cup -- amazing! I intend on bringing Third Wave Water to my parents' house on Thanksgiving (yep - another Keurig), and I have a feeling they are going to insist I leave behind the remaining packets - fair 'nuff -- (4 stars instead of 5 due to the price)

MAGIC IN A PACKET FOR COFFEE??
I'll use it up, 12 Packets of ???? Not sure, but I'll use it up. Can't tell much of anything for Taste, Quality, or Anything else!Today, May 21, I for some reason sorta shook my head in disbelief but I have a Bunn coffee Maker that stores the Water in a Holding Tank and I do think that After a Tankfull of the Distilled Water with the little Magic Pack of Third Wave in it there is a Noticeable difference in the Taste. Hard to describe, but not as Bitter, like Smoother going down?? I am using Philz brand coffee, Jacobs Wonderbar and there is a Taste difference. This stuff is kinda Pricy, But if your a Real Coffee Person (I Ain't) there is a difference. If i have noticed a difference, even I'am surprised??? Will I continue to go through the process of Distilled Water by the Gallon, Not to sure,Plus the $15 for this stuff, Not so sure. But, There is a Difference! I got a Pure Water Pitcher system for Fathers Day. Filters are Pricy, However I should get 22/24 GALLONS OF Pure Water from each filter. One Gallon Of Distilled Water at Target is $.99. Ive already gone through 14 Gallons of that. And I’ll be using a Stainless Steel Container, or a Glass Jug from now on rather than “PLASTIC” Gallon Jugs!!

What a joy it is to be living at this time in history.
I love the concept and the idea: That folks that affect the most important aspect of the coffee experience: water. But here is where the trouble gets to for me. I live in South Carolina. The water here is actually too good. A friend of mine owns a bean company and coffee shop. His farmers are in Brazil. He's been one of the tasting judges for the national championship for several years...one of the few that's been asked to come back because of his unique pallet. For his coffee shop in Taylors, SC, he actually had to put in a $5,000 filtration system to make the water "worse". I have yet to do a side by side comparison. But, the distinctions were not pronounced enough for me to recognize a difference. Now, I will be open by saying that my wife has a better pallet than I do. She can taste distinctions more clearly than I can. So, I know that my assessment about this product is a bit compromised. But the idea, the concept...5 stars. I love, love, love the way we are pushing the boundaries of our experience with God's creation to get back to the 'garden of Eden', if I can speak figuratively. Obviously, in our sin-cursed world, it will never be possible. But, oh, what a joy it is to be living at this time in history.

Good stuff that you need to try.
I had to try this after seeing it on Shark Tank. I am a picky coffee drinker and really like to take my time, find the right beans, grind them as needed and brew them immediately. For the most part, I am pretty happy with some of my coffee choices and stick to 2 or 3 regularly. I will try new things as they are brought to my attention if they pique my interest. I figured one thing that could be better was the water. I try RO, mineralized, purified etc.Upon purchasing this product, I could tell the difference and it does make a better cup of coffee. The jury is still out as to whether or not I will continue to purchase it on a regular basis. I believe it adds about $.25 to each 10 cup pot of coffee, or $.025 to each cup. Certainly reasonable and much better than going to my favorite coffee bar.

SIDE-BY SIDE TASTE TEST RESULTS
SIDE BY SIDE TASTE TEST RESULTS. Brewed in a Keurig machine with a fill your own adapter of my favorite coffee. Did the the Third-Wave water, Reverse Osmosis water from my under the sink system which I've been using all along for years, regular tap water which is softened through the home water softener and also water from outside tap which bypasses the water softener and is really hard water from the Waterloo region of Ontario where we live...about 50-60grains of hardness. After each brew I dumped all the water from reservoir and ran 2 new cups to flush out the old water from the Keurig reservoir this way each cup was purely of the different water. Once I had all 4 cups of the various water brewed coffee I warmed them up in the microwave same time to get them all equally hot again. Added exact same cream and sugar to each just the way I like my coffee. sipped each one multiple times with fresh water rinse sips in between. After completing my tast test experiment my wife just happend to walk in the door and she tasted each one not know which was which and what I was doing. She concerned with the order of which ones I thought tasted best.HERE ARE THE RESULTS!1. Third-wave really was the best tasting and smoothest!!!2. Regular hard water from the city at about 50-60grain hardness was a "close" second. Not quite as smooth as #rd-wave but tasted just fine.3. Softened water from the tap was not good at all compared to 1 & 2, significantly worse!4. The RO reverse Osmosis was significantly worse than #3 and compared to 1 & 2 was gross!..can't believe we were drinking this for years...guess you just get used to it and think because it's pure water it's the best, Not!!!What I've learned is you really do require some hardness and minerals in the water for a better tasting coffee so we've stopped drinking the RO water (for coffee only). However; Is the Third-Wave adder worth it??? For some people depending the hardness of your local city water maybe. You'll have to do the taste test yourself. For us, our regions water seems to have whatever amount of minerals that results in pretty "close enough tasting" compared to the 3rd wave so we're probably going to just use regular city water bypassing the softener moving forward. Although we'll probably periodically buy the 3rd wave and keep it on hand this way when we have friends & family over this way we can serve them the good top shelf coffee :)

Just what I needed.
Been trying to fine tune my V60 coffee for close to a year, trying to get a similar cup to the bright and juicy goodness that I tasted in a speciality shop one day. I tried tap water (which is not very good where I am) and Brita filters. Brita filtered water made better coffee than tap, but I never succeded to get that crisp and bright mouthfeel and acidity that I found so good at the shop, no matter what I changed in my recipe. Yesterday I recieved the TWW packs and tried it this morning with store bought distilled water and my usual recipe. Bright, crisp, juicy, fruity, acidic, like I was never able to get at home before. I understand that the effectiveness of the product will vary from people to people, depending on how you brew and the quality of your tap water. For me, it was the missing puzzle piece I was looking for all along. Definitely recommend it.
