Effective and non-lethal. Had to use one time.
I love the non-lethal effects of this product. It not only neutralized the person threatening me, I ended up helping him clean up and his attitude changed massively to the positive. The unit is convenient and not too bulky to fit in your pocket. The safety is easy to turn off even in a "situation". It is a great option to have around especially when I don't want to permanently harm someone.

good product but the “quick release” is awful!
the only thing i have an issue with is the quick release feature. it’s a very small button that i struggle to push down correctly when i’m not in a high pressure situation so this would not be effective if i actually need to use it. i just disconnected the keychain and left the whistle part on my keys alone and attached the pepper spray with a carabiner but “quick release” is VERY misleading and could be dangerous if you’re trying to fumble with it when in danger.

It works great "IF" you use it properly!
I am retired from law enforcement and for 25 years I carried Sabre Red. This smaller version is just right for me and my wife. The most important thing about this product to know is HOW TO USE IT PROPERLY!! Do yourself a favor and by the "practice" inert one. Watch the approved Sabre videos and practice with the inert product. Then practice some more. Muscle memory is important on drawing and proper use of this product. If you purchase this product and leave it buried in your purse or glove box, do not expect it to be any help to you. It's your responsibility to learn and know by second nature how to use it correctly. I was recently hiking, turned a corner and was confronted by a large (unattended) dog running towards me-growling and barking. I had my Sabre on my belt and drew it quickly and sprayed toward the charging dog. He got just enough to turn and run away. Be safe!!

Personal Safety
This is just another layer of the protection I carry as a woman who has to leave for work in the dark. I have an old one that's on my keychain currently. This one will be for when I travel out of state. Then it will replace the one on my keychain. I recommend this for any ladies. Parents if you have teenage or college age girls this should be something you get them for walking around and as they go off to college whether they stay in your city with you or go out of the city or state. College campuses are never 100% safe. Help them protect themselves with this.

Necessary
All females should carry one of these. (Everyone really) I have this little spray right by me at all times , car, walking, in the store, even going to my front door. Maybe you can make a smaller one for back up. Lol
