Decent quality tool with a wide range of crimp sizes. Hard to open and close though, even if pivot/hinge points are lubed (which DID help). Trying to operate this while standing on a ladder 10 feet above ground with my arthritic shoulders when cable tying the corners of my 18'x22' h.d sunscreen tarp was slow and aggravating but in the end got the job done with good crimps.

Right out of the box it was stiff. This was not unexpected. A little white lithium grease and it is butter smooth. The pivot joint bolt is tight, but looses a bit with use. It isn't meant to flop open and closed. If it did you would need three hands to crimp anything. Works fine with the aluminum parts, works fine with copper too. I have not tried to swage a steel collar with it yet. Suspect it won't have enough leverage.The gloves that come with are not meant for men with man size hands. Give them to your little kid.

Bought this to crimp copper zinc coated crimps on stainless steel aircraft cable.Worked excellent. The tool is very tight though. Maybe will get looser over time.Was very easy to crimp my 1/8" cable.The aluminum crimps that are included were useless to me as you cannot use aluminum crimps with stainless steel cable.

Out of the box the first thing I noticed was that the size guide sticker was separating and had creases in it. Right off the bat I was not impressed, at least take the time to apply a quality sticker and apply it right. I also noticed that there was still a large swarf of metal from machining or drilling a bolt hole, instead of cleaning up the hole they just left it as an obstacle at a pivot point and painted over it. I also have an issue with the operation, it has heavy resistance while trying to open the handles and closing is just as bad. If it is this hard to operate empty then I do not even want to know how difficult it will be trying to swage a cable. Overall I am not impressed with the quality at all.

Works good, definitely diy grade tool and not for heavy long term usage. For my purpose of and likely most diy work this is all you’ll ever need for a one off deck or similar project.
