Heavyweight black vinyl cut from HD 96/24 masters with MP3 coupon. Blue Bell Knoll is the fifth album by Cocteau Twins. Originally released in 1988 by 4AD in the UK and Capitol in the US, Pitchfork listed this album as one of the best albums of the 80s. This was the band’s first full studio album to be released in the US via a distribution deal with Capitol. The album marked a turning point for the band. Robin Guthrie stated ““At first you’re just trying to make a record, and then you’re trying to make a really good record. And then you’re trying to go further.... Blue Bell Knoll was a really important record to me. It really sticks as one of my favorites. Perhaps not because of how it came out, although it is quite listenable, but because of the experience of making it.”

In love, as a young listener.
Shipped on time and in perfect condition, as described.This is one of my favorite musical albums across any genre, and in my top three of Cocteau Twins' discography. I am taken to a different place with each listen. While my first CT album was Heaven Or Las Vegas, this would not be a bad choice for a first experience. It demonstrates the versatility of Guthrie and Fraser's songwriting and melody crafting, and really showcases the sonic finesse of this band. Also lots of sentimental value in this record for me; although I am only 18 years old, I've taken the Twins with me across the country and have been the soundtrack to many sunrises, snowy landscapes, warm sunsets and night drives through the city. I bought this record simply to expand my vinyl collection. Very beautiful piece of art.

The Voice Of An Angel Can Be Heard
I first heard Carolyn's Fingers on a cassette tape sent by a friend in 1988. 31 years later this album still amazes me. Elizabeth Fraser has the voice of an angel and stands as my favorite singer of all time. 5 stars is not enough in my opinion, and not enough can be said here to express their impact.

Vinyl sounds real good!
I read a lot of reviews about poor quality vinyl pressings for the latest pressing. I was skeptical but pulled the trigger. I got it today and I disagree with those folks. I love the way it sounds. Killer album. Maybe other folks’ ears are superior to mine who knows who cares but I’m glad I got it. Sounds awesome. Cheers!

Beautiful album and my vinyl copy arrived with no issues! I was relieved as so many represses are of questionable quality. This is a good one.

Cocteau Twins Best Album !!
"Blue Bell Knoll" is the Cocteau Twins' best album, with "Treasure" running a close second. Their two best songs, "Carolyn's Fingers" and "For Phoebe Still a Baby," are both featured on this CD. Liz Fraser's lush vocals blend perfectly with the guitars and synth to create an enveloping music environment. This is accentuated when you listen to the album with headphones (recommended), or very loudly (not recommended by your neighbors). If you are just learning about the Cocteau Twins, this is the album to start with.
