After a few tweaks, I am happy with this camera. Even in lower light (home office at night with overhead ceiling fan light turned on), the camera shows a much clearer picture than even my FaceTime HD camera. It also does a nice job with auto-focus even as far as 24" away from me. The mount could be firmer and have more friction though. There appears to be double-sided tape built into the camera, which I may end up making use of. Otherwise, it can slide around pretty easily. Also, it has a hinge as opposed to a ball joint. This doesn't bother me because I was planning on placing it directly in front of me; however, if you plan on putting the camera off on the side, then the ball joint on other models might be important. The worst part I can find about this camera is the default Hue setting, at least in the lower light (home office at night with overhead light) conditions that I was using to test it. I came out a bit pink (although I was in focus and not grainy, as mentioned above). I ended up installing a 3rd-party Webcam Settings app from the App Store and adjusted the Hue a bit to restore normal color to my cheeks. That seemed to work well. So I'm keeping this camera and ordering a second for a computer in another room.

Excellent picture and microphone sound. Automatically sets up. It easily clamps onto the top of the computer monitor, but it does not have any kind of locking mechanism. Be careful not to rock your monitor or brush up against the webcam, or it will fall off and you'll have to reposition and re-aim it.

Suggested rating: **2 out of 5 stars** **Title: Difficult to Secure on a Large LG Monitor and No Privacy Shutter** I purchased the Spedal 4K Webcam with the Sony 1/2.8-inch sensor, 120-degree wide-angle view, dual microphones, and tripod because the specifications appeared suitable for video meetings and professional use. Unfortunately, it was not practical with my 36-inch LG monitor. The primary problem was the mounting system. The webcam was difficult to position securely on top of my large monitor and repeatedly fell off. I tried adjusting and repositioning it, but the mount did not provide a dependable grip. A webcam should remain stable once installed—not require constant attention or create concern that it will fall and possibly damage the camera, monitor, or desk. The included tripod provides another placement option, but using a separate tripod should not be necessary when the product is advertised as a monitor-mounted webcam. The tripod also occupies additional desk space and does not provide the same natural viewing angle as mounting the camera directly above the screen. I was also disappointed that the webcam does not include a built-in physical privacy shutter or privacy cover. For a camera intended to remain connected to a computer, a physical privacy feature should be standard. I should be able to visibly block the lens without disconnecting the webcam, turning it around, or purchasing a separate cover. The 4K resolution, Sony sensor, wide-angle lens, and dual microphones sound impressive on paper, but those features are less valuable when the webcam cannot remain securely positioned on the monitor. The 120-degree view may also be wider than necessary for individual video calls and can show considerably more of the room than expected—making the absence of a privacy shutter even more noticeable. This webcam may work better with a smaller or thinner monitor, or for someone planning to use the tripod permanently. However, it was not a good fit for my 36-inch LG monitor. Before purchasing, I recommend that buyers check the thickness and shape of their monitor and determine whether they are comfortable using a separate tripod. Also be aware that you may need to purchase an aftermarket privacy cover. For my setup, the unstable mounting system and lack of a physical privacy shutter outweighed the camera’s advertised technical features. It should have been much easier to install, position, and use securely.

Volks great automatic focus The colors are warm

Truly plug and play. This camera came in handy because my Dell's integrated webcam is/was not functional of which I made sure the settings were correct, did some troubleshooting and nothing fixed the problem. So, I bought this Spedal cam right away because I had some important can't-miss business related zooms coming up. This camera has great clarity and a nice sleek design. If you're looking for something like this, I highly recommend this product. No software needed, but there is an option to download software to utilize additional features.

Plug and play on Mac, long cable, comes with a tiny tripod which is just enough to prop off the table. If you're buying this to satisfy some requirement like having a camera while testing you'll do great. If it's for quality, I have a 720p camera from Logitech I bought back in 2013 that has better quality.

I use this for meetings that take place in a living room, where in person attendees are spread throughout the room. The camera is clear, everyone fits in the wide angle view, and those online can hear everyone clearly. The remote control is a plus, enabling close up shots, and other nice features. This device is plug and play, had it up and running in minutes. No complaints.

The remote control doesn't work, Useless. basically it's an expensive piece of junk' you can't open the remote to try to change the battery.
