Non Slip Under Saddle Pad with Holes

I did not see a big difference in slippage with the addition of this pad. It is small and thin and left circular marks on my horses back.

I’ve got a chunky monkey, tried about 10 saddles, 2 bareback pads, breast collars, center rigging, and still everything slipped, cranked down on the girth, still slipped, put this tiny little thing (it’s not a blanket or a pad, it’s like the size of a hand towel) on her back, then her blanket then a saddle, breast collar and center rigged the girth this whole setup (minus the nonslip pad) slipped the day before, but with the pad I was solid for a 2 hour ride! Even dismounting the saddle stayed put! Not sure what I will think in six months but today I’m tickled pink!

I wanted to lighten the load for my 25-year-old horse, so I purchased a synthetic saddle that seemed to slike when I mounted and dismounted. I purchased this to avoid the slippage, and it worked perfectly.

This pad is a really simple nice solution and would be much better if it laid flat on the horse's back. It also created lots of ruffling of the hair that is over the shoulders even with a short ride. It did, however help keep the saddle from sliding as bad as it had.

We bought this for an Arab with some serious scarring from a previous owner who rode him raw and kept on going. We needed a pad that absolutely would not slip because where we put the saddle on this poor guy makes the difference between him having a great ride or not even wanting to go out the gate. We actually set this under our endurance pad so that about six inches protrude out over the withers, then we fold it back onto the top of the pad and under the saddle. We are very, very happy to say that the saddle has zero movement, even going up and down hills and we can take our horse just about anywhere instead of constantly having to leave him behind in pasture.

I cannot believe how effective this is on my big fat round boy. When I opened the package, I was quite dismayed. But after using and not using it several times to compare, I try to never forget it in my trailer.

It immediately slipped out from under my saddle pad.

It fit perfectly and did not slip. Finally I can ride with the saddle not slipping at all.
