OK on its own but not a good solution with a tarp
I guess it would be fine on its own but doesn't work underneath a tarp at all. The top of the pyramid is much more toward the center than the images really depict, and I wasn't able to set it up underneath a tarp with trekking poles such that the netting was actually taut, especially around the head/shoulders area. Ultimately there wasn't enough room to actually sleep under the netting without touching it, which is really saying something because I am very short. Like I said, I'm sure it could be set up on its own just fine but if you are looking for a bug net solution to use with a tarp, keep looking. I will be returning this item.

Sometimes it worked...
Used this net out in the field. It worked sometimes but I dont think it was really ready for the craftiness of fort stewart swamp mosquitos.... got bit on the eyelid and it swelled like a golfball... along with my forehead and fingers
