I love the leverback for its security. The photo of these appeared to show them as having a smooth rounded ring. These are stamped, leaving a sharp edge on one side. This has caused abrasion to my ear lobe resulting in swelling, redness and infection. I had to stop wearing earrings of any kind for a few days while my ears healed, only to have the same issue when I tried to wear them again. I used a jeweler's rasp to round off the sharp edge and that seems to have helped.

These are exactly as pictured. However, they wouldn't work for fatter/ thicker ear lobes

These are perfect for everyday use in jewelry.

This was a horrible choice to buy. My earring holes are relatively new. These are not made for earring holes that haven’t been stretched. The needle part is way too long to go into a normal earring hole, and one side is kind of sharp. They make my ears bleed every time I try to wear them. And I’m way beyond the 8 week mark. So they are fully healed.

The quality just isn't there for this item. The edges are sharp and feel unfinished, and multiple pieces were broken or badly warped. Thankfully I did not order them for making earrings, so they still fulfill their purpose, but I would not recommend to anyone who wants to use these for their intended purpose.
