Encased Belt Clip Holster Case for Galaxy S8 Plus - Secure Fit DuraClip Shell Combo w/Kickstand for Samsung S8+ (Black)

I've always preferred a belt clip type case over just a protective case and carrying in a pocket. The important features are the clip, how well the case holds it and ease of removal. I've had several Aduro cases. The most recent is to fit a Galaxy S8+ obviously a larger phone. The clip broke after a few months so I decided to try this Encased model. I considered it last when choosing a case the first time for my new S8+. The only thing originally that caused me to choose another option was it slides into the case from the side rather than the top. I prefer the phone in the upright position. It carries more comfortable that way. I gave this encased a chance and it turns out to be a really nice case. I'm not hard on a phone and have rarely if ever dropped my phone. If you are looking for a really protective casing that surrounds the phone then this may not be for you. The casing that surrounds the phone is similar to what I'm accustomed to. The design is such that it seems it is a part of the phone rather than just being a case which shows off the phone more.It slides into the case easily and seems to hold well. It would hold more solid if it were inserted from the top or short end of the case. I tend to angle it slightly so that the phone has less to no chance in falling out. So far it's proven to be a really nice case. The clip is really strong and holds securely. The phone, like many belt clip cases stores with the phone face inside the case protecting the screen from damage. Some may ask or prefer it faces out. All it would take is one short cut around a corner or brush up against something to damage the screen so even if this phone offered that feature I wouldn't recommend it.It's taking time to get used to inserting the case from the side rather than the top but adjusting more and more. I'm giving this a 4 star rating and after time if this holds up and the clip remains strong then I will revisit and consider increasing the rating to a 5. Overall I'm happy with the case design.

I love encased products. My last device, the Nexus 6p had one and I really liked the how the case had a vertical insert.for the phone entering the belt part. Much less bulk on your side having the case up and down vs horizontal and sticking out. In addition to that, such a method of being held feels much more secure.This case covers significantly less phone real estate than my Nexus. You have the case holding the device at the very top and bottom. That is it. The sides are completely free. I also feel that the case lacks a certain amount of grip compared to my Nexus version. I wouldn't say it is slippery, however I was disappointed with how little grip there was to it. So poor side coverage on the device and poor grip. I never feel comfortable dropping my new phone but this case doesn't make me feel much better about the prospect. At least it is out of my pocket.I'm also not a fan of the horizontal insert as mentioned above. Sure the case rotates but you'd have to be crazy to carry it any other way. It is clearly designed to be held in a horizontal position on your belt. Turning it would jeopardize your phone while walking. I'm sure many don't care about this, I personally prefer vertical entry to the holder and funny enough their picture shows just that unless you zoom in and take a really close look.at the clasps.Over all I give this case a C-. I think it is a step back in many ways from their other cases I've bought but the big items of not having enough grip and leaving the device exposed completely on the sides are the biggest issues. I'll be looking for something else but this will do in the meantime.

I've had several of these cases over two years for my Galaxy S8 Plus. Worth each, the quality degrades so much that I am returning my last purchase. The weak points of previous cases if this brand and style are the kickstand and the "lips" that secure the phone in the belt clip. In the past, the kickstand has broken within a couple of months of average use. Over time, the tension on the lips gives way and allows the phone to slip out of the belt clip. I have been using the current case for just over two weeks and the phone is already so loose that the phone easily slips out. Just now, it fell out as I leaned over to pick up something from the sidewalk and now I have a chipped screen. I'm diligently searching for a similar style case from a different manufacturer.

I love the way this fits on my phone. Slim and looks great, keeps the profile low. I did drop my phone out of my lap when standing up out of my chair (a short drop) and the back glass shattered while in the case. Not very shock absorbent it seems but that was obvious from the start. If you want a slim case that looks and feels great and are usually pretty good about not dropping your phone lol, this is the case. Even though my back glass was shattered, i still like this and am sticking with it.

Over the years I have tried many phone holsters, some expensive, some not. For years I used to have a Pelican Holster, but I started to notice that durability was declining. I clip here, a button there; I was constantly ordering replacement pieces. Pelican does replace faulty parts, but you have to pay for shipping. I switched to the Encased belt clip holster, and I couldn't be more satisfied. The case has a much leaner profile, is easier to manage, and the price is much more reasonable. So far, I have no concerns and I am completely satisfied!

It fit the phone with no prblems but the phone had to sit sideways on the belt in order to get in out or on easily which is not great when inside a jacket. This case I also found to be way to smooth making it slippery to hold, a piece of rubber on the sides would be a good idea.

The clip swivels, which is nice, but it can be very noisy at times. The case stand is great, and works vertically and horizontally. The biggest issue I have is that the edging is too low, and makes it far too easy to accidentally capitalize or press A while typing due to that.

This holster doesn't securely hold the phone. I dropped it four times in one day of use so I don't use it anymore. The case is otherwise very handy with the two kickstands, compact and good materials. It's too bad it's not secure.

Bought this case for my work S8+ and it is exactly what I was looking for. I accidentally bought the wrong size (S8) but both cases are the same. It swivels, holds the case snug, and I love the slide out better than the pull out. I would highly recommend!!

Absolutely useless. After 30 minutes of installing on my belt, the phone ($1,000) fell off on the concrete. I didn't give it another chance. Case already on the way back to Amazon.My advice: do not buy if you care about your phone.
