Bubblegum '70s pop for the girls
I bought the CD for the Danny Bonaduce single. About a year ago I pawed through a box of roached Lps with the Danny Bonaduce album sandwiched therein for a buck, but the album and vinyl Lp were just too far gone to take home. Anson Williams's teen crooner at the end was a kind of bonus. The CD booklet states that Anson Williams also had an Lp, but all the information I can come across in my discographies, old Goldmine price guides, and Joel Whitburn chart books indicate Williams only had the 45 single and picture sleeve on Chelsea Records (also the home of '70s Wayne Newton and a Johnnie Whitaker SIGMUND AND SEA MONSTER tie in kiddie rock album, where he channels the Beach Boys with members of the "Wrecking Crew" studio musicians).I give the set four stars for doubling up on two tracks each of the Bay City Rollers and Bobby Sherman hits. The album might have substituted, say, a track from other kiddie acts like Ricky Segall and Rodney Allen Rippy, maybe Rex Smith, John Travolta pre-SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER, or Lenny & The Squigtones' "Night After Night"?David Soul's pop hit seems too A/C-lite for the manufactured idol teenybopper theme of this Rhino CD.

Some very hard to find songs
The only reason I bought this cd was for the songs..."Sherry" and "Deeply"......those have been very very hard to find on cd.....and found both on one cd.....Bought them as a teen and wanted them for my collection....And got a few on the cd I didn't know about or have....."Melody" and "Dreamland"......the rest I already have but for the price that I got the cd for I got my moneys worth....

It was ok
It was ok pretty much a replica of one I already ordered previously. If you are a first time buyer of this music yes it would be a good first purchase.

BE-TWEEN HITS
YESTERDAY'S HEROES-70S TEEN IDOLS: Even for a teen heartthrob collection (and one named after an obscure Bay City Rollers tune at that) this peaks uncommonly high on the ol' kitcsh-o-meter. Besides usual suspects Bobby Sherman, Leif Garret, and Tony DeFranco, the listener is treated to a treasure trove of practically every 70s TV hunk ever allowed to wax poetic for a quickie cash-in. Who but retro champeens Rhino Records could dredge up the likes of David Soul, Rick Springfield's lone pre-GENERAL HOSPITAL hit SPEAK TO THE SKY, the Hudson Brothers, Jack (H. R. PUFNSTUF) Wild, the Brady Bunch Kids, Danny Bonaduce (but no David Cassidy), Jimmy Osmond (but no Donny!), Davy Jones, and ANSON "POTSIE" WILLIAMS??!! You never got this much bang for your buck from that little tube o' Clearasil...this sucker should have come on a little cardboard record from the back of a cereal box. Bonus points for the CD cover, mocked up to resemble one of those old TIGER BEAT rags you used to sneak outta your big sister's room. Here's the best so-awful-it's-awesome celebrity sing-off since Rhino's GOLDEN THROATS series. Have at it, kiddies, and wash that despicable NSYNC taste outta your mouth.RATING: THREE SHAG HAIRCUTSTrack Listing: 1) Easy Come, Easy Go-Bobby Sherman 2) Melody-Jack Wild 3) Rainy Jane-Davy Jones 4) It's a Sunshine Day-The Brady Bunch 5) Speak to the Sky-Rick Springfield 6) Ben-Michael Jackson 7) Heartbeat (It's a Love Beat)-The DeFranco Family 8) Yesterday's Hero-Bay City Rollers 9) That's Rock & Roll-Shaun Cassidy 10 I Was Made for Dancin'-Leif Garrett 11 Julie, Do Ya Love Me?-Bobby Sherman 12 Saturday Night-Bay City Rollers 13 So You Are a Star-The Hudson Brothers 14 Sherry-Keane Brothers 15 Don't Give Up On Us-David Soul 16 Long Haired Lover from Liverpool-Little Jimmy Osmond 17 Dreamland-Danny Bonaduce 18 Deeply-Anson Williams
