I needed the cord to pull files off of an external drive that requires power with my 2016 Macbook Retina. Using a USB hub worked just fine. The only trick I found is to remember that the USB that has both cords sticking out goes into the drive and the other two go into the hub. I was able to retrieve data I needed just fine. Great deal for the price.

The USB-C tongue is not long enough and does not extend far enough into the phone. I bought two of these. Each barely makes contact, and easily loses contact. There is no click when inserted. Other USB-C cables have a slight click when seated properly.

Having recently tried to use a compact portable SSD as external storage for a Nintendo Wii U console (yes some people are still showing the Wii U some love in 2020!), I found that the Wii U was stuck "checking usb storage device" when preparing to format the drive. Even though my old laptop was able to power the same drive through one USB port, it turned out the Wii U was not.Unfortunately with this being a USB-C SSD, I did not have a suitable Y lead in my box of spares without daisy-chaining a USB A-B Y lead as a USB extension - and I didn't want to add an extension, I wanted to keep the end result as short and tidy as possible.So time to buy a USB-C Y cable, there should be plenty available for a few quid, right?Strangely not, not from the various combinations of searches I tried anyway. Luckily I hoped to find a white one to match the surroundings, and this item was the only one I could find in any colour.Quality seems fine, the power-only section of the lead is still a decent thickness and feels robust unlike the thin flimsy power section on some other Y cables. It is functioning as expected so far, having formatted the drive and copied across about 10GB without any errors.

Our Mazda 3 2014 edition only has 1amp USB ports (bad decision Mazda) so being able to combine the two, it now powers our mobile phone quicker than the battery dies down.

Wollte meinen Raspi über eine Powerbank versorgen. Diese hatte zwei Ausgänge a 2,4A, also zusammen 4,8A, so die Spezifikation der Powerbank. Der raspi lief bis dahin an einem 2,4A Netzteil ohne Probleme, aber ich wollte noch eine USB-SSD anschließen. Kabel an Powerbank angeschlossen, Powerbank tot. Akku läßt sich nicth mehr laden, Ladestandsanzeige zeigt Unsinn an und es kommt auch kein Strom mehr raus.

Werkt gewoon niet. 0 komma niks.Heb een apparaat dat slechts 500ma geeft aan stroom, en onvoldoende daarmee mijn telefoon laad.Deze kabel in 2 apparaten aansluiten, of een volledige 2a poort maakt niks uit, de telefoon laad er niet sneller van op.

Sowohl an dem Daten-Kabel wird ein Gerät erkannt als auch an dem "Strom" Kabel. Somit kann man nicht 2 Ports von einem Rechner nutzen.
