Beautiful shimmer “stain”
I bought this because I wanted something on a fun color that was also water resistant, and it seems to meet those expectations; I don’t know that I would call this a stain though in the traditional sense - it dries VERY quickly and can’t really be wiped away like a regular stain. It’s almost like a very thin paint. Regardless, it does the job.Tips:SAND! Sand early, sand often. The smoother your surface is, the nicer it will turn out and show off the beautiful shimmer in this stain.SHAKE IT. You have to shake the crap out of this. If you let it settle for too long, the color starts getting off. So if you’ve been working for a while, stop, put a cap on it, and shake it up. There’s a MASSIVE difference in the tint between right after shaking and about an hour later.Photos are of an Adirondack chair from target online. It took about 3 coats to achieve the color I wanted. The photo of the finished/unfinished comparison shows the original wood tone and two coats. All other photos are 3 coats. I think this is more due to the porosity of the wood rather than the stain though.

Old furniture looks new
This product is amazing. Living in the sunbelt our outdoor wood furniture takes a beating in spite of annual applications of teak oil. Luminos was easy to apply with a foam brush - minimal spots and drips. It absorbed into the wood and dried very quickly. Two coats produced a deep color and smooth finish. Cleanup with soap and water was a breeze. One quart was enough for two coats on all four pieces of furniture. I bought 2 quarts though to be sure I had enough for future touch ups etc. This was the easiest and best stain I’ve ever used. I’d definitely buy it again. Colors are wonderful and in the sun the navy almost gleams.

Nice stain but difficult packaging
I like the color. I use it for pallet wood flags I make. I do not understand the can set up though. Is is difficult to use and reseal. I bought an empty can at Lowes to put this in.

This is NOT black!!!
Although this is a great product, it worked easily without a horrible smell. I will see how it stands against the sun in Florida. But I just painted my beautiful black furniture some kind of weird purply brown color. I am so bummed. I’m gonna have to go get more stain. That’s actually black to cover it up.
