Riveting episode ,exciting series
Wowee, this series gets better and better! The way these two were drawn together, through their past lives, through lots of tense moments to a beautiful ending was so beautifully written. Hopefully there is more to come.

Lots of former thieves working with cops in pop culture these days!
This book starts out in an amusing way and it had my attention from there. Matthias is a former thief (never caught) who now works as a consultant helping police departments. James is a detective who doesn’t like or trust Mattias, mostly because he is the son of a thief who he has no relationship with and who has damaged him psychologically in so many ways.As a convenient power outage causes Mattias to have to leave his hotel and James offers his guest room, the relationship between the men heats up as the pressure to solve the string of robberies they are assigned to work on together increases. The crisis point is easy to see coming and things unfold about the way you’d expect. The resolution is rushed and mostly happens off page which is disappointing. The ending is sweet and hopeful.

Curveball Strikes Out the Side
No, this book has nothing to do with baseball. The headline refers to the fact that Andrew Grey has thrown us a couple of men, and an imaginative plotline, quite unlike anything one might expect from this master story teller--and he is canny enough to get us to believe they can work their way out of it to deliver a victory. In Mattias and James (on the cover) author Grey has created two of his most introspectively unhinged and wary individuals, men whose lives could not be more different (read the blurb) but also could not be more congruent. Reading the blurb will raise your eyebrows, no doubt, and getting through the first chapter will convince you these two are really going to be too much enemy material to get around to being friends and eventually lovers. But then an incident occurs totally out of left field which brings them together privately in addition to what they are tasked to do professionally. They slowly begin to reveal their lives, and their fears, to each other, holding back some vital information along the way as they unwrap themselves.Neither man is a saint, and even though we have some sympathy for their lives twists and turns, it is to Grey's credit that he entangles their personal lives in a way that it seems logical these men in their late 20s, neither of whom has ever had a personal relationship worth remembering with fondness, can quietly fall in lust. The steps toward commitment and love are nicely paced. There are a number of twists in the solution to the crimes Mattias and James are trying to solve, and it's nice to see Pierre and Clay from previous books in this series are also involved. But the focus here is on these two deeply conflicted men whose facades are cracked when they get to know each other, and that's a very good reason to get this one. Hope it's not the last in the series, but if it is, it's a worthy one.

A lot of heart and heat
This series has me captivate. I read a lot of books and don't normally read the same author back to back, but I can't help myself with this series. I find myself wanting to know more about the characters. This is a quick read. It is a great story full of heat and heart.

As Good As It Gets...
This story is as good as it gets in this genre. A great story, a little love making (not too much), and what feels like an authentic gay male voice. It reminded me of the original Josh Lanyon 'Adrien English' series before it went corporate. Thank you Andrew Grey, whoever you are!

Intriguing
An entertaining storyline with likeable, fuly developed characters that each had a tragic childhood that effects their current lives. The dual pov really lets you get to know Mattias and James. I enjoyed their playfulness, sense of humor, snark and teasing, and their dedication to the work they are doing. Their attraction, honest revelations, passion, and unusual connection has their feelings developing quickly but both tend to doubt it is real while hoping it will be true and lasting - which it is - and all while trying to figure out who the thieves are.
