I am a registered nurse that was working long and difficult hours. I worked weekends away from my family and just felt like I was missing time. Time to do what really mattered. I felt some purpose with my career helping others but felt like something was missing. I fell in love with a product and only had intentions of signing up to get my product at wholesale.A friend of mine, also a distributor gave me this book. I read it all in one sitting and IT CHANGED MY LIFE AND PERSPECTIVE on network marketing!! Right then and there after reading this I decided I was going to take this to the next level!!What I loved was this book tells it like it is. That most people will not make the commitment to go to the top but that it is very possible with dedication, effort, and consistency. The Four Year Career was the first book I ever read about MLM. I'm being honest here, I read it first because it was short! Yes, I was never a book junkie but once I started my career in MLM I decided professional development was an avenue I needed to take.The best part about this book is that it's brutally honest and I believe in this industry you need to be real with yourself and real with your team. The part in the book that talks about "Marrying your Company." Pick one company and marry it, this always seems to pop in my head. I never thought twice about jumping ship with my company because I truly believe I have a pot of gold to offer someone, but this quote I believe is so realistically true. This "short" read also gave me the attitude of being "All In." You must be All In in order for your Four Year Career to thrive and take place. I appreciated this book so much, that I ordered it for a few of my team members. He has lived this game plan, then spent years running the company he founded. He know this business inside and out and from both sides of the table. He knows how it works.Give this book out as a 3rd-party validation and explanation of this frequently misunderstood concept. I heard about this book when I found out that one of my mentors, Alex Morton, was included in the testimonies section. Even though it is relatively short, it is well-written and organized. If you need to hear more stories of success from others coming from the same places where you may have started, you are sure to find some here. Many leaders from all different companies across the industry are featured here.While I at first expected this book to be more of a personal development centered read, I thoroughly enjoyed the boost in confidence that anyone can make their dreams a reality, regardless of their roots. I would certainly recommend giving this a read and then passing it down through your organization.

Richard Bliss Brooke has taken the business model of Network Marketing and put it into "visual" terms that the average naysayer can clearly understand, and in fact become interested in. This is a powerful book, and clearly explains why the business model of Network Marketing is such a robust model......and why it is the wave of the future for this country and the world. Kudos to Richard for being clear, succinct and easy to follow. I use this book in my business every single day, and even the skeptics about the business model come around quickly after reading this gem.

As someone still relatively new to Network Marketing, I find The Four Year Career the single best resource available to help teach and train each of my new team members while continuing to hone my own skills as a confident and skilled leader. Richard B. Brooke separates fact from myth, outlines the 3 activities necessary for success and explains the cornerstones of the four year career and does so with simple and clear language. This makes duplicating his philosophy something that even a first DAY network marketing professional can immediately put into practice. This book or CD is a staple gift in all my New Consultant packets!
