This Safari flea comb is specifically designed for long haired coats. The long teeth penetrate deep in the coat to remove fleas and detect skin conditions. Before using this comb, remove any mats and tangles that could damage the teeth of the comb. If needed, apply flea treatment. Comb your dog slowly, periodically checking the teeth of the comb for fleas or debris. Pay particular attention to areas around the ears, nape of neck, and base of tail. Between strokes, dip the comb into a cup of water with mild detergent to kill the fleas left on the comb.

Easy to use.. excellent results
I'm very pleased with this product. My Yorkie loves it and it helps his skin feel better. I clean it with alcohol after each use. The comb is small enough for me to use and it's compact so I can keep it by my bed.

Maybe good for short hair dogs.
Not good for long hair dogs. It definitely pulls his hair. He’s a German Shepard. Not the sellers fault,it’s mine for not researching before purchasing.

Broke Within First Five Minutes of Using
Very Fragile. A tooth bent out of shape within the first five minutes of using the one I was sent.I thought because it costs double what other choices cost, it might last...

Non Toxic Flea Removal
Good fleas comb. Only gave four stars because some of the teeth will eventually bend and stick out. I've bought five of these combs because they're great at removing fleas, but some teeth will bend, just like all the other metal flea combs.
