Wanted a easy method to cut plugs for sending to the laboratory for a soil analysis. Easy to do that simple task and will last a very long time with cleaning it afterwards.

Champered tip, thick-walled tube that Godzilla couldn't bend, smooth welded handle, and a thoughtfully constructed cleaning brush. I'll be using this for my lawn and food plots.

Little bit hard to push but it did for job. Recommend

Handle is built very durable. The pipe cleaner that comes with it is very nice for getting all the dirt out.

This literally broke at the weld on the first use. Rod to push out soil also bent and made it impossible to actually use. I had better luck with a screwdriver.

Finally, someone got it right. This design allows the plug to be removed MUCH more easily than the others out there. It also appears to be much more robust to prevent bending the unit in tough soils.

I wanted to get the soil tested in my front yard since it had gone for years without a proper feeding regime. This soil probe had the right shape and length to make it easy to take multiple cores from my lawn to send to the test lab. Stainless construction and a sharpened tip made it easy to get into somewhat dry soil and pull a decent core. Cleaned up really easy under running water and dried with a microfiber towel.

Great product! It did exactly what it was supposed to do...retrieve soil sample 6 inches below the surface.
