I bought this to give to my nine-year-old granddaughter, who loves to make pancakes. I watched her struggle with a different heart-shaped mold for pancakes when she made a celebratory Valentine's Day pancake supper for her parents. She was quite frustrated with the other mold, and when I saw this I thought it looked like a better system for her. She has used it several times now, and LOVES it. Being able to flip the entire mold over at once for all four pancakes makes it really work well.I think she uses some spray on cooking oil to grease it, but the pancakes come out looking great, and the mold washes up beautifully in the dishwasher. It is great to let her explore her budding passion for cooking without the frustration of using the wrong tools.

Boy was I fooled. This does not work at all. When you try to flip the pancakes, batter flies everywhere. No hearts here. I let the pancakes cook until almost burned, and still did not work. Don't waste your money or time.

Took forever to arrive and had a horrible smell - wouldn't think of cooking with this. Just tossed it out - what a waste!

You need to spray it on both sides with cooking spray oil. Otherwise batter or eggs stick badly. Other than that, is a cool gadget
