My sony lens cap broke a while ago and i've had to use a spare sock as a lens cap for a few months haha. Finally got round to buying a replacement lens cap, and this was perfect. Snaps onto my 82mm - 24-70 G Master lens perfectly.

I purchased a 2nd - the quality is good, especially the spring.Contrary to claims in a few negative reviews; the spring is strong, made with a sturdy metal coil - see photo of underside of the cap. (Not a weak plastic type found on my original Sony lenses that eventually snaps.)Contrary to advertised, it's doesn't appear to be made of recycled nylon, but of ABS (the stiff, slightly brittle plastic that's used on all my OME lens caps.) This doesn't have a negative bearing on the quality of the product, but a false claim to be made of recycled nylon makes for a moral deduction of one star in my estimation (maybe more in yours!)As other reviewers have mentioned, the centre button grips are smooth and aren't easily gripped (I think the mould form limitations for injection-moulded plastic parts like this meant no overhang was possible on it.)I have got out my Dremel and with a small sanding head attached ground little notches into the grip - see attached photo of topside of the cap. This has improved the grip but it's still not perfect. I may use some Sugru to add a proper lip in the future if this is still feeling a nuisance in the heat of use.

The plastic springs in the original Sony lens cap failed and so the cap just fell out of the lens. This cap has metal springs in the mechanism ans seems much more substantial. There is a small entry in the cap for a connecting string. With this attached to the camera strap there should be no way you could lose the cap.

I used this lens cap for a Fujifilm X100f. It allows me to leave the lens hood on the camera, which the supplied Fujifilm metal cap does not. It is reasonably priced and of fairly good quality. The centre pinch grips make it easy to remove with a lens hood fitted. It doesn't come with a tether, but it does have holes in if you want to fit your own. I prefer to remove the cap and pocket it, rather than have it flapping in a breeze. Recommended purchase.

Currys sold me a lens without the cap or back cover bought this, didn't deal with my complaint. I had to buy this works fine, I was worried it wouldn't fit.

I purchased this lens cap for a Fuji Telephoto Lens. This lens cap does fit the lens, BUT doesn't enable the lens hood to be put on or removed with the lens cap in place. The oroginal Fuji Brand lens cap did allow one to perform this function, so this is a slight disadvantage with the product.
