SOLVED: No More Unusual Unit Noise Heard
The media could not be loaded. Â UPDATE #2: The third Pecron E3000 was shipped from their overseas facility, after it was tested. I received the 3rd unit, and it is not making noise as loud as the first two units were. I replaced the previous review video with a video from the 3rd unit. It looks like the fans are different in this 3rd unit, so maybe that was the problem. I'll continue to test the unit and update my review; especially once I purchase solar panels.UPDATE: Pecron said the fan isn't coming on and believes it was damaged in shipment. I sent the first unit back. Pecron sent me a second E3000. I charged the second unit with the included wall charger. In AC mode, this second unit also makes a similar noise. It's almost exactly the same sound! Pecron, again, said the fan isn't coming on and that they think it was damaged in shipment. They're sending me a third E3000, so, I sent the second unit back. ** I hope Pecron can restore my faith in them. I frequently have people asking about all-in-one solar battery units and would love to recommend this one, because of its high voc and ability to run an air conditioner for hours while van and box truck living. Please, Pecron, don't let Jackery, Bluetti, and EcoFlow continue to be recommended the most to RV, box truck, trailer, and van lifers. **There is a noise when AC mode is switched on. The sound, from my Pecron E3000, continues, even when nothing is plugged in. The sound stops when AC power is switched off. It does not make noise in DC mode. The sound is NOT a constant fan hum. It can be heard from adjoining rooms in my house. This is only the second time using it. I've only charged it using the provided AC wall charger. Due to Amazon messaging limitations, I wasn't able to include this video in my message to them, so I'm posting it here. Once I hear back from the seller, I'll update my review with their response/remedy.

Huge Capacity but Compact and Very Portable
I purchased this unit for my travel van build. I have not used it in real life, but from the initial testing, I am pretty happy with it. It does what it says. For my own use cases, I do not use it everyday and it is for camping, traveling and emergency power backup, 1000 cycles (or 1,500 cycles as Pecron claims in its own website) to 80% capacity is adequate. With the same capacity, lighter weight and smaller size is more important to me than the number of life cycles (like those 3,500 cycles of LiFePO4 batteries).AC output works as it claims. The capacity of DC outputs is about 100W, not big, although adequate for me, looks like pretty efficient, which may be why Pecron did not choose to do 30A DC output capacity like others, lower capacity DC circuit leads to lower stand-by no-load power consumption and higher efficiency when DC load is under 100 W. So, it works better for my use cases. But 15W wireless charging is not very useful when my iPhone has plastic casing on it.One Cons is that AC to DC charger brick is definitely not quiet, although not high pitch loud, so does not irritate me much, I will probably have to hide the brick charger in the very back of my van.Overall, I am happy with it for now.

Says overload after 2000 w
So far it works for a few days, does not seem to have overload surge function with fridge suddenly turned on (surge to 800 w for a few seconds, with normal 100 w use) with electric burner on 1200w. wish they have surge protection.

Great Product - Power Station for Living on the Road
I bought this to be my power station while living on the road and camping around the US and Canada. I have now had it for a month and have had no issues to speak off. I have charged it with my 400w of solar panels and the 600w charger and everything works. It WILL NOT charge with just 1-100w panel of mine because of the voltage being to low but will charge when two are attached. This is no issue for me as I have 4 panels but for someone only using 1 it may be an issue.CONS -The inverter sometimes makes a weird hissing noise that annoys me a little. Its quiet and not loud but when its quiet outside it bugs me a little.Need at least 2 solar panels wired together to charge.I wish there was an internal charger. Its annoying having to have both a 600w and 300w charger that are external. I wish I could just plug it into an outlet and charge at a certain wattage.

Pecron is the only battery generator that got it RIGHT!
We are camper van, and we use all the AC sockets and the DC socket. AC Socket: small microwave, 700 watt oil filled heater, sound brick, hand vac, hair dryer to warm boots in the am ect. DC socket runs our Sirius Radio RoadyBT. Quick charge from Honda e2200 using 2 charge stations. We LOVE this Pecron set up. Keeping the chargers out of the generator case is pure genius. So is the fact they use EV lithium. Anyone that criticizes this Pecron set up has NEVER done one day in a camper van. DC socket to run a RoadyBT by the lake playing jazz will melt you away. We charge while driving buy only on 40 mph and under. The honda gen is magic. Pecron is the ONLY one that got it RIGHT!!!

Works as advertised
The E3000 and included solar panels have worked as advertised. You should do your research before making any purchase this big, but the E3000 should get a good long look. It delivers a lot of bang for the buck. I tested it with my stand up freezer and the built-in estimate of 30 hours run time matched the math I did from my (less than 30 hours) testing. Solidly and smartly built. While it can be moved around by carrying it by the handles, it is heavy and the cart that Pecron sells is a good add-on to make portability simple.

Good pricing and quality
I’m very happy with this purchase. The customer support is very responsive and helpful. I’ve been using this generator to power my laptop and ultra wide monitor for ten hours a day. At the end of the day, I still have 30% of battery left. I charge this generator with two 100 watts portable solar panels. It took about 5 hours to fully charge this generator. I would recommend this generator to other people.
