Works great! Seems sturdy!
This leveling take seems great so far. I’ve only had it for a few days but so far I think it will hold up well. To say assembly was easy is an understatement. It very literally took two bolts for the handle and the handle to the rake. I’m excited to put this to use for quite a while. The wider rake was definitely a good choice to actually level the lawn better, if that helps anyone.

Perfect for leveling sand
The tool base is solid, well made. The handle is made of two parts that once you slide the two together are secured with a bolt and nut. It is all stainless steel. The base pivots freely which I found to be annoying for my application. I will explain. I am redoing an 27' above ground pool and need something wider than a garden rake to spread and level the sand. I Know it is advertised for spreading small amounts of dirt on grass but I knew it will work for my application. The sand was in piles, I had to shoveled and spread it the best I could. It was far from flat. When I first started to use the rake, I started to push/pull and quickly realized that the tool will do the job but I need it to learn how to use it efficiently. When I was pushing noticed the pole starting to bow when the leading edge accumulated to much sand. And when I pulled and sand started to accumulate in the leading-edge creating resistance, the base since it freely pivots, it will flip the rake upside down. This is was the annoying part, I could barely move the sand from one place to another before it flipped. When I pull the rake will flip and when I pushed the pole will bow. I knew that pulling was the way to do it if I wanted to move sand. I found out that if I lowered the handle, I could pull a lot more sand without flipping the base do to the relative angle between the base and handle. This worked but it would have broken my back because I would have to lower it almost to the ground. I have used concrete floats in the pass which one can raise and lower the leading edge so it will not dig. I was thinking if there was a way to raise the edge as I pull, I knew this tool will be perfect due to its size and weight.I figured it out. If you noticed on the picture, I placed a strap so when I raise the handle the leading edge will raise. This was the answer, I was able to move sand since it prevented the base from flipping and by adjusting the leading-edge angle, I was able to drop sand in the lower spots. The leading edge will plow through the high spots, load the rake with sand and as I raised the handle it will drop the sand. It worked perfect. I then thoroughly wetted the sand and was able to remove the strap and actually go back and forth leaving a smooth surface. Knowing what I know now, will I buy it again for this purpose, YES.

Great value
Heavy duty, stainless steel, well built and design. Really works as seen in videos. I use 1/2 sand dirt mix.

Just What I Hoped For!
Did my research.I ordered the widest one, with no prior experience. Glad I did.It arrived, I installed the handle in 5 min consisting of 2 handle pieces, 1 bolt w/nut, & 1 screw w/nut.Then put it to use…Works great! It’s going on winter now here but preparing the surface for next next spring in a multi-divot area due to a previously poorly prepared knoll that also experienced a few underground rodents as well.It was rough enough that I dreaded walking behind the mower, kept calling that area ‘Ghetto Grass’, pretty rough. Will probably purchase another narrower one from the same folks next spring for the tighter areas and to help prepare walking trail surfaces in the surrounding forest.Well built. Heavier than I expected but find that to be a plus when smoothing things out.

Just the tool I needed!
I had a bunch of unnecessary concrete removed, a gravel driveway put back in, and dirt where I wanted to put it back to grass. The guy that did the work didn't pack or level any of the dirt and when I packed it (my car was all I had) it was an uneven lumpy mess. He wanted more money to come back and finish the job so after a bit of searching I purchased this Rocklin lawn/soil leveling rake. I bought the 48" wide version and I'm really happy with how this thing performs! Made in the USA and very well made at that! Material is high quality and the welds are all very neat, tight, and clean! I did also need to use some other tools (shovel, pick, etc) to break up the dirt but the leveling was all from the Rocklin lawn leveling rake. Everything is now nice and level, seeded, and ready for grass to grow. This might not be a tool I'll need often but I know it'll come in handy in the future. Very pleased with my purchase!
