Complicated device
I bought the eero 6 pro and a Motorola MB8600 cable modem to upgrade my existing network hardware which was outdated. When I installed the new hardware and set it up it ran great. I have a 800mbps plan at the moment and usually I’m receiving 900 to a gig of internet speed from xfinity. I had a configuration issue and a device issue with the previous router/modem device and now I have a problem with my upstream and downstream Channels not having the correct power in there signals or something like that. Before that it was a private relay issue with iPhone and now have to disable private relay on my iPhone when connected to my network. By the way, The router is a really good router with that new mesh network, security, paid app settings and WiFi coverage. No complaints there, it’s just these issues that keep arising that hinder my internet connection to very slow or no connection at all. Then i have to act like I know about these things and figure out what’s wrong and that can take days at a time due to having to read through the entire internet for a solution. Maybe it’s me and this is normal to have all these complicated things happening that seem to be different than in the past and very difficult to fix or understand. Support at xfinity is useless, eero support had me unplug and plug in like xfinity tell me to do. Even though I know you need a computer to fix this issue and maybe a tech to the residence for cable connection issues. After all this I will say i do not mind all the issues cause I sure do learn a lot from diving into some of these problems. But at times I would like to play catch with the dog using a white object with the words eero on it lol 👽😵💫😵😴🙄🫨🫠😓😨😱😶🌫️🤤😳🤩😎

I went from a gaming router to the Amazon eero system and these things are killer!! I love the price point and how effective they are. I have no signal issues with Wi-Fi in my home and I use this everyday. Definitely recommend this for your home !

Want a better home Network at a reasonable cost?
This is older technology, but it works perfectly. Great App to go with it. I use it at my house and yard and cover 3/4 of an acre with it.

Get the router instead of an extender or beacon - - - everything is faster & TV's better picture!

Seems to work.
After a couple of days of use the router still seems to work properly. I get a strong signal everywhere in my rather large house.Setup was NOT easy as promised. Other routers give you an IP address to connect via a web browser. The Eero requires that you download their app onto a device THAT HAS CELL SERVICE. If you don't have a device with cell service, or you don't have cell service at your location, you cannot set up the router. Then it's supposed to register automatically, but mine would not and I had to manually enter the serial number. But the serial number is printed on the bottom of the router, in microscopic characters, in a color nearly the same as the background color. You will need a klieg light and a microscope to read it.Once that was done, the router seems to work very well with a strong signal. The app is confusing, but I don't anticipate needing to use it again. It says you can set up child controls, etc., so it's got some functionality that should be useful to some users. I'm subtracting only one star for the horrid app and the EXTREMELY difficult set-up because once set up those don't matter.

Amazing boost in reliability over my old Apple router
These are excellent. My aging Apple router kept needing to be rebooted and I grudgingly moved to Eero on Apple's recommendation. Really great decision. I am even able to reach a module that's two concrete floors and 300 feet away in the basement of my building, giving me the ability to have security cameras in there for the first time.Don't hesitate to buy these.

Great cheap router, app has a lot of pitfalls though
I bought it from amazon truck deal. I was debating on $139 for eero 6 pro or this guy for $99. The speed is decent and single strength and range is also pretty good for its price so I got this one instead.Problem 1: when router detects another device in the network but not under the same subnet, the devices refuse to show IP address when discovered, which makes it impossible to reach to from both WiFi or Ethernet port.2. Also a device has default IP address and being added to the device list, app lacks of any way to manage it or remove it if device changes its IP address later.3. The router came with its own associated DNS automatically as a protection layer. But it refuses to allow user to switch to their own DNS or ad blockers unless user turns off all the advance features and it wasn’t very straightforward on the documentation on that front.Reason above! I have a raspberry pi as add blocker dns server. When raspberry pi was on network before the router. Eero simply refuse to connect and stuck on registering screen forever. There were some funky connection configurations in the black box till I removed the customize dns, then it connected correctly. (The app doesn’t reveal anything but stuck on one screen which is very user unfriendly)Otherwise, it’s a stable performer and very low profile with small footprint to merge into my furnitures.
