Great peace of mind!
Review by my husband:The Sense-U monitor was something that my wife had found and researched. We ended up purchasing after finding out a certain “bird” baby monitor no longer monitored what they said. The Sense-U monitor measures abdominal movement and feeling temperature. The parameters are preset, but through the app you can change the parameters to what you feel comfortable with. Then if either of the values fall out of range, an alarm sounds on your phone and the base station.I like that the base station is small and unobtrusive. The base lights up when the alarm goes off. The LED is bright enough to see from various angles. And the alarm is quite loud, which for a heavy sleeper, is great for me.The monitor itself is small flat circle that slides onto the front of the diaper with a small pinhole size LED. The monitor stays on fairly well considering. The only times it comes off is when our baby is fussy and kicking their feet a lot. The gyro inside the monitor is to my surprise very responsive. The app is user friendly and intuitive. Easy to set up the units with instructions to connect to Wifi and pair the base station to the monitor. The app has various tabs. The main tab is split into the monitor data and the base station data. The monitor data shows what position the baby is in regards to the monitor with an cute image of a baby. It also shows the abdominal movements and feeling temperature clearly. The bases station shows room temp and humidity levels. There is a tab that tracks the alerts of when the measured metrics fall out of the assigned parameters. There is an optional subscription service for the app that adds more to the app, but I find that the app as it is already does what we need it for. There have been times when I would get frustrated or not understand something about the monitor. I found that the help desk section of the product’s website truly is helpful and assisted me in understanding what it is doing (or not doing) and how to remedy it. All in all we both quite like this system and the peace of mind it gives my wife is worth every penny to me!

So worth it!!! Long thorough review:
I just had my first baby and already have anxiety but was informed about SIDS right before their birth. I spent the first 2 weeks of their life getting around an hour of sleep per day because their dad got very sick as soon as we got home from the hospital and couldn’t help me take care of them, and I found myself up the entire night and day listening to their breathing or zooming in on the monitor to watch their breathing. As I became increasingly tired I started a desperate search for something to monitor her breathing. I stumbled upon the sock monitors and after doing some research I found that it was not for me, as they monitor heart rate instead of breathing, and I believe that the breathing stops a bit before the heart does which would render it useless for if the situation arises for us to have to try to save our baby in the middle of the night. Eventually I found this. I could not waitttt to see the package at my door, and immediately set it up and put it on my baby. The device and app are both super easy to use, it includes an extra clip for in case one breaks, and it’s so convenient to replace watch batteries instead of charging it. I have tested this countless times by not turning it off during diaper changes and every time the alarm has gone off, though if you either clip it to your shirt, put it in your pocket, or set it on the couch beside you it won’t go off while changing. I’ve had zero false alarms and the base even has a night mode to disable the light. For a while I was unable to get notifications to work properly on my phone (ios), the notification would pop up and the base would alarm but my phone would not make any notification sound no matter what. (I would have still heard the base alarm through the regular baby monitor if something had happened). I emailed the company and they got back to me very quickly and said they were passing the problem along to their app developers to fix the issue. Since then, there has been a software update in the app that took no time at all, and now the notifications are working for me. Unsure if it was supposed to be part of the update or just happened to fix itself or what but I’m very happy with the customer service from them. I was looking for something to just alarm me if my baby stops breathing but everything else in the app is definitely a plus and I am beyond happy I got this. I am definitely not one to write reviews but I am just so grateful for this product for allowing me to sleep and ease my stress and also monitor the room temp and baby’s temp. Sorry for the long review but I hope it helps somebody lol if you also worry a lot I couldn’t recommend this product more

Great product if you’re on a budget!
I wanted something to give me peace of mind, but every breathing monitor I looked at was either outrageous or looked cheap. After doing some research, I found someone suggesting the Sense-U on Reddit. Checked it out and decided to give it a try. It’s been great! Tells me if my baby rolls onto her side or tummy, keeps up with her temperature, and lets me know if your breathing slows via abdominal movements…and it didn’t cost me an arm and a leg! Very satisfied and would recommend!

Helps relieve anxiety
I’m a first time mom and overwhelmingly worried about every little thing. Constantly. I wanted the Owlet monitor but I couldn’t justify the price and my son has a unilateral talipes (clubfoot) that requires him to wear a cast and boots on his foot, so the Owlet wouldn’t have worked anyway. I read tons and tons of reviews for this product as well as similar ones and ultimately decided on this one. Within the first night I felt extremely relieved and slept better myself. It takes a little while to figure out how to set it up and use it, but then it’s easy. I would typically stare at the baby monitor or go up to the bassinet constantly throughout the night to ensure he was breathing. Now, with this, I don’t of that at all. I simply open the app and see the stats and then go back to sleep. Of course it’s not foolproof, but it does ease my mind. Also he doesn’t even seem to notice it’s there on his diaper whatsoever. The only drawback is that the Bluetooth doesn’t reach that far. For example, since he currently sleeps in a bassinet in our room, the device is easily connected to the base and works flawlessly. But, once we have to move him into his crib, down the hall, the device no longer connects to the base. Even though this is not a far distance whatsoever. So, I’m not sure what we will do once he’s moved in there.

good and helpful
it has been helpful at times, i do not know its accuracy 100% but at times when it did alarm me there were a couple times i really had to wake my baby up... i'd rather be waken up by a false alarm then not check on my baby. the alarm is loud, which is necessary. sometimes the app sort of glitches and youre not allowed to connect which can be annoying but i mess with it and eventually is starts working again.
