Turtle loves it. He goes crazy for it when he hears the bottle shake. Haha! As far as scent goes, I mean, it’s turtle food so it’s gonna stink but that’s to be expected. Haha!

After 50+ years of trial and error, this is the best commercial pellet food because aquatic turtles love it!The Zoo Med mineral supplement "Banquet Block" is also loved by aquatic turtles, more so than any other I have tried.I also feed my turtles live snails harvested from my tropical fish aquariums, as well as fresh shrimp pieces dabbed with cod liver oil (vitamins A & D) and mineral powder. I also give them fresh greens (whatever lettuce variety appeals to them). I make sure they have a "shelf" to completely dry out daily. I find making a ramp from "needle point canvas plastic screen" to work well with their climbing toe nails, and to be durable. Filtering is a huge issue. I use a API Nexx dual canister filter. IMHO, canister filters are a must. Filtering must include an activated charcoal/carbon. You must water testing multi-strips regularly. The turtle aquarium water should NOT smell. If it does, you need better filtering!
