UY CHAN Original Soldering Iron Tip Replacement for TS101 TS100 Mini Portable Outdoor Soldering Iron Kit (C4-Tip)

This performs as well as my other tip, a BC-2, which is to say, excellent. I love my TS-100 and the selection of excellent tips is a big reason why. The C4 tip has a little more heat capacity, and can solder a bigger joint with a lower temp than the BC-2. I was worried about the sharpness of the acute angle at the very tip, as I would also like to use it for touching up QFN packages on occasion. No worries there, it was just the protective solder coat on the tip, the underlying material comes to a fine point, so in a pinch, the C4 tip an be used for very fine work. It's still not as nice as a fine tip for the fine work, but it's very versatile. It doesn't heat up quite as fast as the finer tip, but that's the laws of physics for you. It's still well under 7 seconds from start to melting solder, and from idle at 100C, I didn't have to wait at all after picking it up off of the stand.

Easy to use and exactly what I expected. I am glad I can add functionality to what is essentially a soldering iron. I struggled with my Radio Shack iron for 20+ years until my mind got blown with my ts100.

I use this tip to solder two 8 gauge power supply wires together and it had no problem Heating that thick of a gauge wire sufficiently for the solder to adhere. I can't wait to use it again and will find some repair work to do as an excuse.

A nice tip to compliment the one that it came with..

Holds on to the heat better than the other tips. Great for bigger wire or butt joints.

Works as expected.

Good quality, not much else to say.

I’ve used this tip several time at about 350-400 Celsius with no problems. Heats up really fast, cleans well and does a nice soldering job.

This tip will help you get'er done!Frankly I was a bit worried the TS100 may not live up to the hype, but now no worries...
