Great product! I was iffy about getting this one vs a cheaper one due to how the pictures made the leg pads look but I couldn't be happier! Super high quality metal that's thick and strong and very nice leg pads. (Not to soft and not to hard) Also when doing leg curls and leg extensions, the design of having the pivot point higher and at an angle makes even the top contraction harder unlike other models where you get a jerky or kick back motion at the top.Biggest suggestion when installing or building it is make sure to line the caps up with the metal bar going through. There is a divit out of each of the caps to allow it to easily be pushed in with your hand. If you can't push it in with your hand carefully take it out with a flat head screwdriver and put it in with the divits facing the bar.Steps to build: (directions were very basic without step by step, but not to hard to build)1. Put all pads in first, (long bar goes into contraption that goes into bench)2. Put pad washers and caps on (easy to do with pressing it to your body)3. Then place end caps on. (The rounded one goes on the top part that attaches into your bench) my Manuel didn't have that one shown.4. Put two main pieces together with bolt and rounded caps facing outward away from the machine.5. This is the step that everyone complained about but it's really simple if you attach the protective plastic caps on like this. (Put cap over nut after tightening it to where the nut is flush with the bolt threading. Then using a small flathead screwdriver, insert it into the cap at the part that has a small notch out of it, as you put pressure on the plastic protective cap towards the leg extension machine slightly pull out with the tip of the flathead inserted in the underside notch of the plastic protective cap. After, flil the screwdriver around and hit the notch at the other angle and your done. Wish someone had how to do this because it took a little playing around to do to figure it out.6. Attach Olympic adapter if you picked up one. (The 8 inch one is good that's linked to the sight but there is a 1 inch gap between that and the weight stopping backing. Won't be an issue with any weights getting stuck though since all weights have a greater width anyways) Good addition if you have Olympic weights. But if you read this review all the way to now, I would definitely say go with your gut instinct and buy this and you won't regret it. Totally worth the price and some. Great quality, easy to build and a life time warranty if anything goes wrong.

Very good. Very well made.
This is a very well made leg developer. I'm not sure I've seen a better one, though I have about 3 minor complaints.1) Much of the marketing for this device shows it used with Olympic weights. However, it requires an adapter for use with Olympic plates. This adapter is not included, and I didn't see any notice of this. So it is not accurate to how it is marketed. (Adapters can be had in various lengths for $12 plus shipping. But it is hard to find one matching the quality of this unit. It would be nice if Body Solid at least sold one that was matched to it.)2) It appears to be designed for people with long legs. I'm 5' 11" with average length legs for my height and it seems an okay fit for me. It doesn't fit as well for my wife, who is about 5'8". But it is very usable by both of us.3) This is partly (mostly?) a bench issue, but the bench and leg developer are sold as a matching set, so it's worth noting here. The pin that locks the unit in place can appear locked when it isn't. I've had 200 pounds unhook and slam the thing down into the bench. No serious damage, but a bit scary. Locking it in requires more care and inspection than most locking pins on exercise equipment. All of that said, I would buy it again. It is the best one I've seen, and it gives good results.

A bit pricey but good quality
I purchased this to attach to a body solid bench. It works very well and I’m happy with it. It’s a bit pricey but the quality is good. Overall no major complaints

So solid, my kids will inherit it, and their kids will too.
This is pricey but so worth it. Very solid... very solid. I highly recommend it. Super comfortable for benching heavy weight. Leg pads are one of the most comfortable under heavy weight that I have ever used. I don't see why they even bothered to put a lifetime warranty on this because it's so solid, I can't possibly imagine how it could break. My kids will inherit this bench, lets put it that way.

Not a perfect fit
This is okay, overall it does the job but doesnt fit perfectly in the slot. There is extra space between the leg curl attachment and the actual bench which causes the whole thing to wobble a bit when using. In the end it works but quality is lacking.

Great attachment for when I want to do some leg work at home.
I bought this attachment to supplement my leg press on leg day. I only do one leg at a time so I don’t need to put a crazy amount of weight on it. I placed a piece of wood under the front for a little extra ground clearance. It will lean forward some if you have over 90 pounds of weight on it but it hasn’t been a problem for me because I placed 80 pound dumbbells on the back just make sure it doesn’t move. I also do smooth controlled reps and I don’t lean forward. I like the fact that I can do leg extensions and leg curls on it. It’s a nice piece of equipment for a home gym.

Came with missing parts
Overall, this is a good - not great - product. It is sturdy enough and made of steel, but some parts that are plastic could have been made of metal, such as the end pieces that hold on the cushions - mine came with one of these missing. I emailed the manufacturer who said they would send the missing parts. It is definitely better than what you would find in your typical sports store, but for the price they could have gone the extra step and not used plastic end caps, and made sure those parts were in the box before shipping.

So glad I purchased
I am really glad I purchased and did not listen to reviews. If you have the right tools which I do because my husband has a shop full, putting together was easy and was a perfect fit. Looks great in my home gym.
