My second Weber, and glad to have it
I owned a Genesis 2 Gold (I think that was the name) for about 15 years. Awesome grill, cooked great, used it until it literally fell apart. Never had any complaints. As it was falling apart, my parents downsized to a smaller place and gave me their Sam's Club grill. It was relatively new, stainless, 5 burner, so you know, gift horse and all that...Well, I missed the Genesis immediately. That Sam's Club grill was the very definition of mediocre. Hot spots, poor design, all around bad performance. So last year I had a NG line run to the patio, and at year end, ordered this unit. WOW - is the one word description. It's not cheap, but damn, I immediately remembered how well my other Weber cooked the first time I used this one.The assembly took about 2 hours, but I took my time and was doing it alone. Pro tip, get someone to help lift the cabinet onto the legs. I REALLY should not have done that by myself. Fit and finish were exceptional, all parts/holes lined up, and there were no missing parts in the box.Test run / burn off got the grill up to just over 700 degrees on the gauge. One hot unit...I've cooked 4 times before writing this review, twice each with steaks and burgers. I don't think I need to wait longer before writing. Heat dispersion is exceptional, no hot spots that I could tell. The grate is heavy, heats well, and sears in good grill marks (there is a cast iron if you need wider grill marks). The flames burn very clean and bright. The only downside from the old grill is that you have to push the starter for each burner. There is no "crossover flame" in the back to light other burners once one it's lit.I have not cleaned it yet, but you'll see during assembly how easy it is to remove the drip tray. This is a great improvement over my first Genesis.I should have run the NG line when we moved in here 20 years ago. If you have the ability, do that before you buy your next grill. Highly recommended.20240530 - ETA: Cooked baby back ribs this past weekend using the 3-2-1 method. My old Weber and the Sam's Club grill both would often burn the sauce over direct heat for the last part of the cook. This grill gets the heat low enough that putting the ribs to the right side on direct heat with two burners lit on low did not char the sauce. I flipped the ribs about every 8 to 10 minutes, but even with 5 minute flips, the other grills would burn the sauce.20240807 - ETA: Got an aftermarket griddle/grate combo setup for my birthday and cooked hamburger patties and chopped onions, mushroom, and peppers on the griddle. Came out exceptional. The item is listed on Amazon but is not a Weber factory part. It works great. So easy to push things around and stir the vegis. Great browning on both the burgers and the vegis. Comes with a partial grate that covers about 1/3 of the surface for buns or just to cook two/three steaks without having to remove the griddle. The grate covers one burner and the sear station burner. We'll see how long the cast iron lasts before it gets yuck being stored outdoors, but it's easy to put the Weber grates back on.

Excellent grill
Very happy with this purchase. Assembly was very well documented - still takes some time, especially if you do it in your own without a helper. One of the storage doors did not line up perfectly to the magnet but that can be adjusted. Cooking and flame quality has been excellent and the ‘sear zone’ feature has also been very useful. Recommended.

Weber grill is great. Professional installation not so good
I used this grill for one week now and everything is great. Amazon professional installation is not good- did the installation by reading the enclosed user guide. For the first delivery, the assembly person said the L frame is missing. So he packed up and left. After do some research, L frame is for propane. Since my order is natural gas so not included. I ordered again. The assembly person said L frame is missing. I told him natural gas don't need it. He agreed and finally finished the installation. After the installation is completed, I found couple of screws are not tight so I have to reinstall them myself. Just be aware that Amazon assembly can be problematic.

Get it!
Been using over a year. Our last grill was over $4000 - we were concerned about the quality on this one, but honestly - it's even nicer than the one we were replacing.

Design flaws
I didn't buy this at Amazon. I bought it at Ace Hardware down the street from my house. Looks beautiful new. Heavy solid lid and frame. Super hot.. love that. However there are multiple design flaws..1. Knobs melt where they attach.. I am on second set of knobs in 1 year.. they slide onto the steel valve stem which becomes very hot and ends up melting the the plastic sleeve that slides over the valve stem. Poor design on Webers part.. they know it is a problem because it takes weeks to get replacements from Weber.2. The doors are 2 part.. stainless shell over aluminum hollow core. The stainless thin shell is attached to the aluminum core with cheap double sided tape that failed in 6.months time.. stupid cheap design. When I open the doors the aluminum core sticks to the magnets and the stainless steel shell slides right off of the core.. hate it!!3. The igniter wires are terrible and the wire insulation melts leaving the bare wire brittle and exposed. I am on my 4th wire repair.Overall this is the most expensive and most problematic grill I have ever owned and it is WAY overpriced. I don't recommend it.
