Massachusetts General Hospital Handbook of General Hospital Psychiatry: Expert Consult - Online and Print (Expert Consult Title: Online + Print)

The book itself is detailed and up to date, containing essential information for doing informed behavioral consults in a medical setting. I would give it a five, but I bought the book also for the advertised online access (through Expert Consult) and I was thoroughly disappointed. Signing up is lengthy(why on earth do they need your address etc, for online access if you have the code?) but the really bad part is that viewing the book does not work well on my android phone and 7" android tablet. When you sign up online, you get a a 'warning', a nuisance message that you should use a larger screen, the message keeps popping up and you can't shut it off. It finally disappeared. And yes, viewing the book does not work well on smaller screens. I had hoped to be able to access the book in the hospital on my android phone or tab, but pages show incompletely, the page turner works only intermittently and skips. The arrows to turn the page are inconveniently located above the page, needing you to scroll up every time you want to turn the page, and they are spaced much too close together, so that you often turn the page forward when you want to turn back, and vice versa. It was too frustrating ...Elsevier publishing/Expert consult: Please update your online access for use with android phones and tablets. It would also seem appropriate to include notification in this book that online viewing of the book only works well on computers and does not work well with android phones(and probly I phones)and tablets. Since online access is part of the reason I bought the book, I think it is fair to include it in the review and give a lower composite rating.

it just a great book its simple and give all the information of the most important subjects without turning boring or ununderstenting, its just a great book
