The Kingmaker’s is an academy preparing the next generation for the mafia world they were born into. Some are the heirs who will rule, the others are their support, some are soldiers, others are business orientated and there are those who will train to become spies. The world building and character development is phenomenal. Each book in the series features different lead characters and stands on their own, the descriptive details include everything you need to know so you will never feel lost or if you are missing something. This brings us not only Miles and Zoe Romero’s story but we get to know Zoe’s sister Catalina “Cat” too, who actually steals the show near the end. I won’t say much about her other than how much she grew as a person her freshman year at the Kingmakers, and I am looking forward to her story next. Back to the Miles and Zoe, I absolutely adored Miles, his upbeat and smart personality and business sense, a definite go getter and when he set his eyes on Zoe, he had to have her. Zoe and Rocco’s fathers made a deal and Zoe was promised to Rocco Prince, who is anything but a prince, he is more like a deviant and brutal creep and so are the guys he hangs with. Zoe convinced her father to not go thru with the marriage until after they finish school,s but Rocco wants to take what is his. She tries to stay away from him as much as she can, but it is not always possible. Miles vows to end their arranged marriage but can he pull it off, can he get the Prince and Romero families to ditch the arrangement and if how will Rocco retaliate when he finds out someone is trying to take what is his. This brilliantly plotted romantic suspense is action packed with plenty of drama, angst, twists and turns, thrilling moments, heartfelt and emotional moments and some steamy romance. Sophie Lark, thank you for another amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride.🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Jeffrey Holz, Maeve York and Lily Drake are talented narrators and versatile voice artists. They have a complete understanding of the characters they portray, give each a voice that fits the character’s persona, sounding believable and just as I picture the characters to sound. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the character’s emotions, projected them into their performance and had you feeling every single one. These entertaining storytellers were a pleasure to listen to and their narration enhanced this already amazing story to another level. This book was sooo good. I’ve been wanting to read about Miles from his parents books and the first book in this series. Miles wanted Zoe even when he could not have her. Zoe was stuck in arranged marriage. From the beginning Zoe wanted to get out of the marriage, and Miles was aimed to save her. With constantly sneaking around, and Miles making a deal with her father, she and her sister were free. Miles was willing to do anything to protect Zoe, and would give up any cost. Zoe had trusted Miles with her future and was able to live life freely. In the end , Miles and Zoe are leaving to La to peruse their dreams. I look really enjoyed Cat’s part in this book and I can’t wait to see her relationship with Dean unfold.

Gah... this book... wow this book blew me away! Miles always seemed like an aloof character, but man... I was blown away by the depth of his character! I love Sophie’s writing because of how cinematic and picturesque it is. These books could really be made into movies!!! Plus, her researching skills and attention to details are in a class of their own.After reading book 1, I knew I was going to be so excited to see Zoe and Miles‘s book. I needed to see how Zoe would get her HEA considering that Rocco is such an @$$h@!€. This book starts off with Zoe‘s perspective in her home in Spain. We find out how much she is dreading being around Rocco, especially with the way he is abusive and bullying towards her. Don’t get me wrong- I love bully romance, but there is nothing redeemable about Rocco. They have a party that they are at and he seems like he’s such a great person, but behind closed doors, he is a piranha. Suddenly, Zoe‘s sister Cat is being forced to also attend Kingmakers, all because Rocco suggested it. Then, we get Miles’s perspective. He has definitely made a name for himself and has been saving up money since he was able to do so, not wanting to live off of what his parents gave him. He wants to be his own person; it’s not like his parents are not supportive or willing to back him up, but he doesn’t want to rely on them. This is why he has so many side businesses and is seen as someone favorable to have on your side, especially at Kingmakers (if you want something smuggled in, Miles is the one that can get it for you).Zoe goes back to the island to resume her experience at Kingmakers. Luckily, she developed a friendship with Anna, Leo, and the others. Miles joins them, and although we didn’t see much interaction with them in book one, they see each other now... Miles has a way of looking into people’s souls and just getting them, which he does when he looks at Zoe. What really was a turning point in their relationship was when Miles saves her from a horrible, bullying moment that involved Rocco and his friends. After that, he becomes determined to save her from him.The library scene... oh wow... that scene needed its own BOOK!!! 🥵🔥👀😉😳😅💦... ay dios mio... I was speaking different languages when that came up! 🔥🔥🔥 and then, the chemistry and attraction completely leveled up after that... Miles came to the point where he was like F this, and he sure took ownership of all of that lol!!! And when I thought that was all my little heart could handle, the movie/couch scene happened. I will never be able to look at a green couch the same ever again 🥵👀🔥.Why not a full five stars (it really deserves more) SPOILERS- there is no talk of bc/previous smexual history, ever, in the whole book. In book one, I understood because Leo and Anna were both Vs, so that was fine. But in this book, it is clear that Miles is not. Does he sleep around? We never get that answered in either of these books. I want to assume that he doesn’t, but I can’t say for sure. Maybe I glossed over when that was mentioned? Zoe is a V, so on her part it’s OK. But what about pregnancy? Every time they were intimate, I kept thinking about it, and although I was in the moment, completely invested, it came back to haunt me afterwards LOL. This probably doesn’t bother everyone, but it was nagging my brain 😬🙈. END SPOILERS.I love the set up for book 3. I cannot wait to read Dean and Cat’s book.I highly recommend this book! Be ready to cry, laugh, roll your eyes, face palm your face, swoon, have an accelerated heartbeat, and cringe. I loved it all!

I loved The Heir and was eager for Miles and Zoe. Miles is such a wonderful blend of his parents and I totally fell in love with him. Zoe is a sweet soul that you just have to root for her. Their chemistry together was fabulous. I loved Kats POV and she is such a secret badass. Favorite yet and can't wait for Dean and .....'s story.

The universes she creates, the characters, the plot... everything is incredible and it’s impossible to put the books away if they’re unfinished. Also, having a spin-off that can be even better than the original series is mind-blowing.“The Rebel” has everything that anyone can ask for: action, love, friendship, intrigue, heartbreaking feelings, lots of hot scenes and swoony moments. Zoe is resilient, strong, beautiful and loyal. Miles is incredibly intelligent and sharp-minded, handsome and interesting. Everything about their love is beautiful: how it starts, how it grows, how it goes.Cat is another girl that I already love! And Dean... I need “The Bully” ASAP! And also, I have so many questions in my mind: Who’s Area really? What’s up with the librarian? Etc etc. Obviously, since I want answers, this addiction towards the series will keep me dying to read the rest of the seriesA MUST read!

Why has this series been in my tbr pile for sooo long!! I can’t get enough and have binge read The Heir & The Rebel in two days!!The Rebel follows Miles and Zoe’s story and what a story it was!! I absolutely loved them. There were so many unexpected twists and turns and Sophie’s way with words held me captive throughout!! The storyline was gripping and the characters are amazing. I can’t wait to dive into the Bully

This series keeps getting better and better. The first 30% ish seemed little slow paced but once it picks up, its like a movie. A movie full of love, drama and so much action. And the developing plot for the next characters. This is a series that can be read and re read again.

I fell in love with Zoe and Miles!Their story is crazy and Kingmakers is just amazing! Well done! Could not stop reading!
