I have a 8k sqft house I needed to trace wires in. It worked for the job. That's all I needed this cheap set to do. Pushing a tone isn't rocket science, this unit was able to do it for this large house; so I'm happy.

Was very simple to use, and was very loud. Took me 5 mins to locate line outside on block for which room I was putting the modem in. Saved me 5 hrs of waiting for the cable company plus saved $100.00 service call.

This is a great little toner/tester to identify cable tv coax. I wanted to match the cables in the basement bundle to the outlets around the house, and this easily did the trick. It did not come with any instructions, but I was able to find a similar tool that has the instructions posted, and they were the same setup.

Terrible build quality & faulty readings / function. Didnt hold up or work properly. Recommend look at other brands. there are better ones out there.

Technically this work but i had issue with my wires being in a state of disarray. Some were bare wires, some had male ends, and some had female ends. I wish this package had come with an adapter allowing me to handle all of these different scenarios. Sometimes all i could do was try to touch the wire to the end and hope for the best. Most of the time it work but sometimes required several attempts to get the result i was looking for.
