Christmas, The way it should be
I love all her books and the idea summaries given at the end of each chapter. I have all her books and love them for the daily inspiration they give me. I've stated making lists off the ideas she gives and some of my own . This helps me make goals (daily and yearly) and helps me to things I need to change.

Loved it
I would recommend this book if you're trying to figure out how to enjoy your Christmas. Christmas is about you not everyone else. Fiona helps you figure out what's important to you. Worth the read.

This year will be different!
Fiona is like your best friend that you have over for coffee and a little chat. Her books are so inspiring and down to earth. She is definately a breath of fresh air in that she is direct, honest, and delightful in her writings. Christmas time has always been such an exciting time of year for me but I cannot say that it was ever a Chic or Simple Christmas, by the time the Christmas Celebration arrived , I was frazzled and unfortunately what I spread to family and friends was very short of any holiday cheer. I sat down with a cup of coffee and my warm knitted slippers and read this wonderful book which presented such a simplistic approach to the holiday season that keeps the season what it truly should be: Chic and Simple. With Fiona's suggestions and a great deal of holiday cheer, I am confident that this year will be a very Chic and Simple Christmas as I celebrate this season with grace and ease.Thank you Fiona for another great book!!!

Christmas the way it should be!
I got this at the perfect time, in November, so I can incorporate some of Fiona's ideas. This year, I plan to put up fewer decorations and keep it simple and elegant, and to sort through my many ornaments and donate some. She offers excellent ideas for keeping Christmas simple and eliminating stress, like enjoying other people's lights instead of over decorating and creating so much work for yourself, putting them up and taking them down. She reminded me to make time for myself to relax and enjoy the season. I learned to plan better for get-togethers and how to not cave in to all the foods that are available. I think this book is going to help me feel prepared and relaxed during the bustle of the holidays this year.

Not Really a How-To Guide
A Chic and Simple Christmas is one woman's musings on Christmas and what she wanted to change to make hers more meaningful and less stressful. There are few actionable items unless you want to do exactly as she has done, but the book (which can be read in a sitting) will get you thinking about the holidays, what's working for you and what isn't, and motivate you to start moving toward a less stressful December. If you're looking for planning and lists, look elsewhere -- but if you're feeling stuck in "this is how we've always done it," this book could motivate you to try something new.

The Grinch should have read this book!
This is the perfect how-to book about enjoying the Christmas holidays! Unlike most holiday guides that give us even more things to do, Ferris outlines how we can enjoy everything about Christmas without doing everything. With her emphasis on a chic (and peaceful) season, the author suggests the many ways we can stop ourselves from falling prey to the hurly-burly of more gifts, more decorating, more obligations. The ideas are almost all no-cost and she provides a great framework to rethink the holiday madness that helps the reader discern what they love about Christmas (and it's not the endless gift giving.) After reading it, I'm ready to enjoy the happy feelings that come from enjoying Christmas music and holiday lights and prepare for a chic and simple Christmas, without an avalanche of of half-wanted gifts waiting to be wrapped!

A Simple Christmas... Is there such a thing??
A very non-traditional Christmas book - but thought provoking! It's hard for me to wrap my head around a Christmas with no gifts - but that's something the author really explores thoroughly. She looks into enjoying the holidays without spending too much money, eating too much food, or becoming too stressed out. You think, instead, about being chic and calm and focusing on relationships rather than materialism. I have to let it sink in. I like lots of presents, lots of food and lots of excitement. Even though that's what I have aimed for in the past, I am realizing that maybe my "super-fun" holiday plan is not as big of a deal as I thought it was, and maybe simplifying things would make it easier for me and more relaxing for those I love.

I will always enjoy her books. I like her ideas on living good for less.
You can have a nice Christmas without over doing it. You have to really plan out things. You do not want to over eat.

Again, perfection
I had been stressing about the upcoming Christmas season, bought this book (thought i owned all Fionas books but obviously not!) and with her practical joirnalling exercises, visualisations, positive psychology and reframing of the stresses, I now have a guide for keeping myself calm and sane in December. Its a quick read, but not one word is wasted, read it if you need to learn to relax and enjoy Christmas more. Niamh in Dublin

Lovely as ever
I really enjoyed this. I particularly liked the positive suggestions for January as I find that month particularly dreary. Unfortunately my birthday falls in that month so I credit Fiona for giving me ideas to prolong the festive cheer and state of mind - thank you!
