Delta Faucet U6300-WH ADA Grab Bar Handshower Mount, White

I purchased this in December, 2018 and found that it tended to slip out of position, but it worked OK for my needs. Tonight (June 2020) I noticed something on it that looked like mineral deposits from the water and because I couldn't find the instructions had to have help to remove it for cleaning. Upon closer inspection I discovered some icky substance had collected in the small crevices and although I can clean it (it is currently soaking in vinegar) there are just some things I cannot unsee. So, I am currently looking for a different one that will fit on the horizontal grab bar and be easy to install, remove, clean, quickly sanitize, dry and reinstall. Without. Toothpicks. Or a flashlight to see into the crevices. Or tools.I do take responsibility for not realizing it had to be removed for regular cleaning, and for misplacing the instructions. IMO it was a great idea in theory but has some design flaws. And yes, we do clean the shower after every use.Now that I'm old and creaky and "cataracty" I am so thankful Amazon is here so I can quickly find a replacement.

The product arrived and did not match the product ordered. The product is adaptable, however. To adapt the product you need to take a small Phillips screwdriver to the Phillips screw inside the large cap cover that draws the entire unit together, loosen that Phillips screw and then spin the shower-wand-holding mechanism to the appropriate position and re-tighten the Phillips screw before reassembling the product in the yoke that surrounds the grab bar. There are no instructions to tell you to do this. That’s why I have given it a low rating. The plastic clamping/wand holding mechanism appears to do what it needs to do, however Delta gives you no assistance in knowing how to adapt their product to your purposes. Poor instructions.

I installed this in my grandmothers shower along with a shower head that has an on and off toggle. She RAVES about the combo. She loves to be able to sit down, rinse, turn off the water flow, prop it on this handle, do her business, and rinse off again. NO MORE slippery steps trying to put the showerhead back on the wall. It's amazing for her. It was easy to install, the sizing fit but juuuust barely, and the value in EXPERIENCE is 5-star, but the plastic wasn't amazing. I actually didn't install the lever because it didn't fit right, but luckily we weren't looking to move it.

This does not work for a grab bar that is small than 1 1/4 inch in diameter. Had to return mine. However we have one on a bar in another shower that has a 1 1/4" bar and it's fine, works great and is sturdy on a horizontal bar. It did loosen up on a vertical bar, always fell to the bottom of the bar, wouldn't stay up so wouldn't recommend it for it's sliding ability. Good price and good item in the right circumstance. A bit hard to install, must squeeze tightly and screw on the final part, took 2 people, one to squeeze it together while 2nd person screwed piece on.

Disclosure: I cannot look at an assembly, and immediately see how it fits together, like some people can. I often have trouble matching instruction sheets to the actual objects. Therefore, I did have trouble getting the shower wand holder together. I wish there had been at least one more illustration, at step 5, to show how everything should look when it is lined so the screw cap will go on. But once I got it together, it installed perfectly around a vertical grab bar. There's not much room between the grab bar and the wall, so it's possible to accidentally hit the locking lever, which loosens the holder so it slides around. I'll have to show any guests that it's a simple matter to push the lever back up, in case this happens.This was definitely worth the difficulty in getting the parts together correctly. I had gotten a new one-piece shower wand that can also be used as a shower head. The bathroom tended to get flooded, unless you were holding the wand, since it couldn't be angled in the upright position. This solves the problem. Now when the water is turned on, the force of the stream hits the back wall.It's also more convenient when you are using the wand and need to pause--to soap up, add shampoo, etc.

I purchased is to mount a shower head on an ADA bar in my shower for my uncle who is Handicapped and needs to sit in the shower. I have a hand-held shower with an extra long ten foot hose attached to it for him to use in the shower but I needed to place a showerhead mount near a built in handicap seat. This product is better than purchasing a custom shower head holder or having to buy an adjustable shower head mount. Easy assembly and use on horizontal or vertical bars.

I was converting my mothers shower in her walk in shower so that she could sit down when showering because she is 96 years old and was having to hold the safety rail all the time in the shower. I replaced the shower head with a hand held shower and needed way of mounting it on the safety bar. This works great for her and the position can be easily on the handrail.

I have installed this product on a vertical 1 1/4 inch grab bar using the correct loop piece that goes around the bar. It is disappointing in that it is not easy to to properly position the lever to move the device up and down the bar and when in position it is not securely where you want it as it initially would move up and down the bar in a locked position. I added the supplied plastic strips which largely solved the problem. All in all a poorly designed product.

Pros:This is a excellent shower head holder.1, It is very adjustable, once installed.2, The handle to move up or down on pole, is rubber tipped. also is good for holding extra long hose out of your way when showering.3, The actual part that holds the shower head, can swivel to move the shower head up & down, & by doing this plus twisting the shower head itself, you can make nearly any finite adjustments to have the spray hit you exactly where you want.4, No tools needed on install, but a good grip & a quarter or back edge of butter knife to tighten the screw-in part . (No Canada the Toonie won’t work, it’s too thick for the slot!)Cons:1, Very difficult to install correctly if you don’t have strong hands.2, mine did not come with ANY installation instructions at all, but luckily I have had one of these before, long ago, but I remembered how to do it.3, be careful when handling the rubber sticker backed pieces, it’s difficult to separate them if they get stuck together too firmly.

does not fit on an 1 1/4 grab bar made by moen, I always though 1 1/4" was pretty standard but I guess not, so now I have had to re design so it fits, and being handicapped it makes it difficult to do this and to shower properly so I dont recommend this item

Works fine if you just want to leave in 1 location on the safety bar but is very difficult to shift to another location on the bar. Does not look like it will last well if shifted often (we wanted this device in order to change the shower head location for 2 different people on a regular basis and it doesn't work well for this use).

I am really pleased with this item, it was easy to install. I purchased this to replace a similar Handshower Mount that a guest broke and I think this one has a better design.

Product is larger than I thought but works as advertised. Would be better if tension lever was in the up position when secured. Very adjustable. Would recommend.
