What a cool pedal!
The first thing that I noticed when taking this out of the box is that the build quality of this pedal is really solid. The pedal has a weighty feel and the knobs and foot switches likewise feel really great.Plugging the power in triggers a really pleasing light display as the LEDs cycle through all of the positions and land on the current settings.Once the pedal had been set up and my guitar was plugged in, I was really impressed with the different tones that this pedal produces. Switching through the different presets with the CAB knob provides a lot of variety right out of the box, and the changes in tone are really noticeable when playing through my combo amp. The HC and LC knobs provide a lot of control over the EQ and help shape your tone even further.Another great thing about this pedal is the headphone jack, which is a great way to practice quietly, while still getting the feeling of playing through an amp. I am looking forward to using it for recording as well, so I can plug straight into my mixing board and not have to worry about setting up a mic.The software for customizing your cab sim files seems really straightforward and I was able to tweak settings really quickly, and it provides a great way to set up a lot of different sounds that will be ready to go when you need them. I highly recommend spending some time with this pedal.

This little amp is amazing!!
This little pedal amp is so much more than I even thought it would be. I’m running it straight into a 1x12 cab with a Weber blue dog alnico from my pod go wireless and it is so loud! I can’t handle it past 3 on the volume. It is absolutely indistinguishable from my real tube amps sitting next to it. With my pod go and my new baby bomb I feel like my rig is complete.I do wish it had an on/off switch.

The speaker output CANNOT be grounded or it makes loud buzzy noises!
(edit) I originally left a poor review because I could not get this unit to work without making a huge amount of buzzy noise, but I figured it out.The fix is to float the speaker output. I.e., make sure the output jack doesn't make contact with any ground path, including 3-prong power ground, chassis ground, or signal ground.I'd tried lifting the power supply ground, replacing the power supply, transformer-coupling the input, and nothing worked until I tried floating the speaker output ground (I'm driving a Leslie 16 speaker cab, and the custom controller had the speaker grounded). The sound quality is excellent, and the unit is noise-free as long as the output is wired properly. The tone switch is a nice touch, and provides two very usable settings.Only 4-stars because Mooer wasted my time and money not leaving that very important wiring detail off their packaging.

More than an IR loader
The Cab X2 has lot of functionality for the price point especially. In addition to the cabinet simulation/impulse responses it can also work as a wallet-friendly stereo doubler and end-of-chain EQ pedal. It has one 1/4” TS input and two 1/4” TS outputs, but also features a 1/8” TRS out also makes it a convenient headphone amp (in conjunction with preamp or overdrive pedal.)The built-in cab sims or user-uploaded impulse responses can be configured in mono, dual mono, or stereo depending on your rigs and preferences, which makes it useful in a range of live situations.Note that it has not got a preamp section of its own, so you’ll need a preamp or overdrive in front of it, but the benefit of that is that if you insert time-based effects between the preamp / amp-sim pedal and the Cab X2 so it sounds like you’re running your echo / tremolo etc. in an amp’s effects loop.Routing options include:* 1 mono signal through 2 different mono cabinets* 1 mono signal through 2 versions of the same cabinet (with different mics / EQ placement if you’re using IRs)* 2 mono signals from different pedals through the same cabinet (so it works kind of like a 2 channel mixer.) This would allow you to run wet / dry rig, with one clean signal and one through reverb, for example. The pedal itself can’t sum the 2 inputs to a single mono channel but that could be done easily enough in your DAW or using the PA at the performance venue.* 2 mono signals from different pedals into 2 different mono cabinets* 1 stereo signal into into 2 different mono cabinets* 1 stereo signal into into 2 versions of the same cabinet (with different mics / EQ placement if you’re using IRs.)*1 mono bypass signal to your amp and 1 mono cab sim directly to the mixing deskIf you’re more creative than me you can doubtless imagine even more options. You’ll have to experiment, though, because the instruction manual is pretty low on detail. The pedal is light but sturdy, with volume controls and filters for each channel plus a latency knob that offsets the channels from each other for wider stereo separation and a pseudo-doubler effect. It comes preloaded with solid versions of a lot of the standard guitar cabs you’d expect, making it easy enough to approximate (as far as speaker cabinets go) the My Bloody Valentine special by sending your guitar signal through both Marshals and Voxes at the same time. There are also a few built in Ampeg bass cabs.Don’t know much about which power-amps, mics, placements, sample times etc. Mooer used for any of the presets, but presumably these were recorded with their own MNRS technology. In any case, people into high gain tones especially seem to be satisfied with the quality, so I gather that is a good sign. What’s even better from my point of view is that you can load up your own IR files, so you can rock all the third-party Orange, Sunn, Laney, or Hiwatt cabinets you want and know precisely what’s going into each stage of the sound. The Mooer software for doing this and making various tweaks is easy and intuitive to use.Did I mention you can use the latency knob for a stereo double-tracking effect? Also those high and low frequency filters are super useful for end-of-signal-chain tone shaping, making the Cab X2 an extremely versatile pedal for live as well as more on-the-fly recording purposes.Had some delays with delivery but customer service itself was fast and helpful, so that was only a minor issue. In all other respects a useful, quality pedal for a budget price.

Recomendado

It's a solid product, but the sound quality / feel just isn't quite there.
Software is stable and works well, lots of options and surprisingly intuitive. Way better than the software loader I have for my Mooer Radar. Unfortunately, I found that the tone stacks all sounded.... too similar? As if the knobs were fixed around certain frequencies and the models didn't really have enough flexibility. Very odd. It's pretty cool being able to load amp captures from other users via the Mooer website. Some of them are really good, but you have to dig through them. The cab sim doesn't sound good and swapping cabs is impossible if you don't have it plugged into a computer. Major oversight there. I think it's because they sell a dedicated cab sim pedal for the same price, which has some cool features like a stereo spread / widening effect.the software was so good I found myself messing with the pedal plugged in, instead of using the knobs... that made me realize I could just as easily load something more powerful / flexible, whether in Amplitube or some plugins in a DAW. It sounded decent into the effects return of my tube amp (JCM-like), but not quite good enough to justify keeping.Mooer makes some great stuff, but I prefer the basic Joyo AC Tone / American Sound pedals, which are knockoffs of the discontinued Tech 21 Character series. My old THR5 also stomps all over this for similar money on the used market. I'm not sure why Tech 21 doesn't make those pedals again and add some new features. Oh well! The search continues. I probably should've gone for a full fledged modeler like an HX Stomp or Ampero II.This might be exactly what you want / need, but it wasn't quite what I was looking for. Thankfully Amazon has a pretty good return policy, so it's fairly low risk to try. Good luck!

Impresionante!!!

Small, loud and worth every cent
It is a very small and powerful unit to drive your Helix or like digital unit. No noise, except for how loud it can go if you choose to. Simple to use, hook up and the warm/bright switch makes a noticeable difference. Well worth the asking I paid.
