Light, fast, no problems with battery
I’m overall really enjoying this laser range finder. It’s light weight and the battery lasts about 1.5 - 2 rounds.I bought a small extra battery to keep with me in case I need it and haven’t yet (though it comes in handy for my phone).I really like the ability to locate it if it’s stolen or lost (like my previous one) — and believe me, fellow golfers who seem trust worthy will swipe things like this from your bag while your hitting balls at the golf range. Though I’m not sure how well this feature works yet.I’ve dropped it on hard surfaces several times with no damage.Negatives: The app seems like an early beta release and needs a lot of work e.g, It only lets you keep score for one person and it requires you to enter info like GIR before you enter the score. The magnet could be stronger, and the USB-C plug will only work with the cable that came with it; others fall out.Otherwise, it’s very accurate, finds pin pretty reliably, and when you have a good cellular connection with your phone it gives you a lot of info instantly on the screen if you press the front button. It connects reliably to my iPhone. You won’t regret buying it.

Basic features work well, but advanced features are too hard to use
The basic features of the range finder work well, but the supposed benefits of linking with the phone app are not as good. They want you to enter ball speed and spin rate for each club..... I can only get that by booking a session with a high end simulator. Why can't I just enter my usual yardage for each club? I also find the Bluetooth link doesn't always work. Also you have to manually forward from one hole to the next. Why can't these apps forward automatically like the Garmin watches do. Overall I would say the extra features are not worth paying for.

Junk
It showed up looking used and dirty. Worked well for about a month. Now it works sometimes, not others. Even with a full charge. Removed myself from their email list this morning which is why i'm leaving this review late. Just a junk product. Spend more and buy a Bushnell.UPDATE: I was contacted after leaving this review by precision pro. They sent me a NX10 free of charge as a replacement. Excellent customer service. Changing my rating from 1* to 5*.

Companion App is Useless, Battery is Weak
As a rangefinder, this device is solid. I would say comparable to the NX9 or 10. However the features and functions that are available, that require a connection to a smart phone so that they can be accessed via the companion app are useless. They are useless because you cannot separate the rangefinder from the smart phone by more that a few feet, or the rangefinder becomes disconnected, and those features and functions become non-functional. I prefer to concentrate on golf while on the course rather than constantly reconnecting the my rangefinder to my smart phone. Additionally there are no user instructions, web sites or videos that explain how to effectively use the app. You just have to figure it out by feel the first couple rounds, which also distract from the golf. Lastly the internal battery is crap. I usually get about 27 - 30 holes out of a charge, and if I forget to get the rangefinder out of my bag after a round to charge, then I am screwed the next time I go out. I think the original list price for this was over $300, which is preposterous given its limitations. I got it for $220, and I see it is now listed at $249. I think that is an acknowledgement by Precision Pro that this device carries no more value than a regular rangefinder.

DEAD after ONE YEAR and Customer Support Non-responsive
This range finder was taken care of appropriately, but lasted 1 year and 3 months... it just stopped working, after a little over a year!? I'm extremely disappointed in this product. I have range finders over 10 years old that still function... I will definitely move on from this company unless I receive a replacement like others have.**Update - after a couple weeks I was sent a new one - I was satisfied with the customer service, and happy they replaced it (with a newer model). I am leaving the rating as is because a range finder shouldn't die after a year. Also, even if it lasted longer, the battery life was terrible and took forever to charge. You might get two rounds at best on a full charge. That was annoying. I'm glad they went back to a regular battery on the new models. We'll see how the NX10 holds up, seems real solid so far.

Nice, solid range finder at a good price point
Nice range finder with nice features at a very fair price. The ability to use the internal GPS to locate the range finer is a great addition (using your phone). Pros are the GPS, accuracy, speed, pin seeker function with slope and the ability to couple it to your phone for view of the entire hole and course. Con's are the need to recharge after every couple rounds and the digital readout could be a bit brighter and visible . But it's hard to gripe when the price is considered!
