camera with great computational features in a decently small package
I bought this looking for a full featured camera in a small, light weight body. This is in the interest of travel photography. I was already committed to the Panasonic/ Olympus lens mount system with an investment in several lens that will work on both camera bodies. I have had the chance to go out using the camera to photo birds, something I have not done a lot in the past but which this camera seems well suited with its fast auto-focus, bird subject selection, and rapid fire shot ability (up to 50fps). I also appreciate the Live Comp features of the camera although I have not had a chance to explore them yet. While a bit too soon to do a full review, the camera has great promise and I look forward to using it in Rome in about a week. I think that the roll out of the camera and extra batteries has been slow. You can possibly blame that on OM underestimating the demand or even supply line issues. That is different than a critique of the camera itself. But at this point I think that this camera will provide many years of enjoyable photography. UPDATE Used the camera extensively on a trip to Rome and it performed well. Both high ISO and night or interior shooting did well. Occasionally experienced difficulty focusing when there was a lot of sky in the photo and the camera was looking for something to focus on. Another comment is on the battery. While the battery is pretty good, on one occasion I left the blue tooth connection on on the camera and that really drains the battery to the point that I had to switch cameras since I thought the OM 1 battery would die. Be mindful of leaving Bluetooth on especially since extra batteries are still not available in the market. Still have not received the free battery on the pre-order from last February.

Awesome camera
I absolutely love this camera. The custom settings C1-C4 are so convenient when switching from macros, landscapes and wildlife, or whatever you prefer to save them as. OM Systems offers a free photo editing tool if you use your cameraโs serial number to download it. This camera is lightweight and comfortable to use.

O M - 1 ? O M G !
This review is for: OM System Olympus OM-1 Micro Four Thirds System Camera 20MP BSI Stacked Sensor Weather Sealed For comparison sake, I shoot with Nikon Z9s and, for M43, my introduction was the Panasonic G9. Note: The OM-1 I purchased was an open box from 1-2-3 easyship and fulfilled via Amazon. The unit was immaculate. I have no qualm saying it was like new. What I like about the OM-1 (understanding I never used an Olympus body): - Good menu system - Blackout free shooting experience due to stacked sensor - 20MP without AA filter (so clean resolving capability for 20MP although PP overcomes the AA filter) - Computational features: High res, handheld high res and in-camera focus stacking - Form factor (not too big but I'm not overly fussy) - Satisfactory learning curve re: Custom Settings, buttons, knobs, etc. - Good EVF - Comfortable grip - Weather sealed with compatible lenses - Pre-capture - Flash works with in-camera focus stacking/ ES - Excellent autofocus system Misses? - SH2 50 fps is limited to select PRO lenses which, while I don't like culling shots, is a big miss in the OM System (not just the OM-1) I looked at Olympus bodies as well as the MkII. The OM-1 (m1) was the sweet spot. Still shooting 'full frame' (and having shot medium format) going back decades, is the day coming where I shoot only one system? The OM-1 doesn't do everything a current Panasonic M43 camera will do (particularly 25MPs which can matter for certain subject matter) but the OM-1 does a lot of things right. A lot of things! As pleased as I am with Nikon's Z9, the OM-1 is more fun to shoot due in part to the computational features as well as the smaller form-factor while, for most every application, the output is good enough (and sometimes even better... particularly when pixel density makes a difference). Highly recommended!

Better late than never
Ordered this camera and I think there was some kind of logistical miscommunication, because the shipment was nearly one month delayed. When customer service discovered the mistake, they quickly made efforts to ship the goods as quickly as they could. The camera was brand new when received, camera box was packed in bubble wrap to protect the goods. The OM-1 autofocus speed is incredibly fast. Colors are also nice, and with the 2x crop factor, this is ideal for shooting nature outdoors. Overall, a very under-rated camera because of its 20MP sensor (which is brand new). Highly recommended if you're able to get this at a good price.
