Q: Is this antibacterial?

No, it doesn't have those ingredients like the conventional antibacterial soaps do. If you are looking for a natural antibacterial and such soap, try the tea tree, lavender, peppermint or Eucalyptus formulas of the dr. Bronners

Q: Which “scent/oil” is best for very dry skin?

They are all good about dry skin. The thing about this brand of soap is it will NOT dry out your skin with harsh chemicals like regular soap. My kids and husband have psoriasis and eczema and this soap helps to not aggravate their conditions. They use this soap with no flare ups and it makes it worth every penny!

Q: is there a therapeutic difference between the different soap oil options other than the scent

Dependent on the oils used you'll find them therapeutic to the skin. Just research the oils.

Q: Does it smell like rose absolute essential oil?

It has a very strong rose smell. Don't know about the essential oil. I do have a concern about the shipper. The two bottles arrived seal in plastic bag. One has the aluminum safety seal on and the other was missing that seal (it was not loose in the bag either and the cap had been loosely screwed back on allowing the product to leak within the bag.
