This Book does MORE....
...than change how you think about sugar. It changes how you FEEL about sugar. I have had a lifelong addiction to sugar, refined, empty, dirty filthy sugar. EVen before I finished the book I could feel myself begin to become repulsed by the idea of eating sugar. Attacking the belief that sugar does anything positive at all for me has really been the difference for me. I have "quit sugar" before, in the past using sheer willpower. But I always believed I was missing out by denying myself my "treats." NOW when I think about sugar or eating a candy bar, cup cake, brownie or other I honestly think about the bloaty, overstuffed feeling in the belly, the subsequent energy failure/crash, the cellulite and the daily FATIGUE and spike cycle I have been living. I did have withdrawals, and it was difficult....for only 3 days.On the day after being without sugar for 3 days I woke up feeling bright, refreshed and energetic. A feeling I have not enjoyed upon waking in YEARS. Food tastes better....my morning oat bran with blueberries, raspberries, banana, chia seeds, almonds and pumpkin seeds tastes incredible now. Refined sugar kills your taste buds! I ate a fresh, homemade taco yesterday and I thought I was going to die from the flavor. And I was completely satisfied after two tacos. What refined sugar does is lie to you. It tells you it's your friend, that you need it desperately and that it fulfills your nutritive needs. In fact it robs you of nutrients, energy and vibrancy, deadens your taste buds for real food, keeps you in a malnourished state and keeps you hooked like a junkie, always eating and needing more because you are getting zero nutrients from it.I highly recommend this book. It touches that nerve that you need touched. You understand, and FEEL, finally, the truth that is: refined sugar is a poison that carries absolutely zero benefit for you psychologically, physically or mentally. It is a trap and you can be free.

Life Changing
I love this book. I’ve struggled with food issues since I was a teenager. I’ve tried so many approaches to solving my problem with food. Then, I found this book. I listened to it and have the book. It’s my bible for stopping the insanity of thinking that the sugar and processed food I was eating gave me something I valued. This book helped me see I’ve been brainwashed into eating foods that caused me to gain weight, develop illnesses and cause me misery. The simple solution is to face reality to what bad sugar is doing and stop eating it. I was convinced and I stopped eating processed carbohydrates and all sugar products. The results have been amazing. I now buy and cook real food, eat as much of it as I want and I’m losing weight. But more importantly my mind is clear, I have lots of energy and I’ve developed a positive attitude. No more guilt, feeling depressed and unable to handle stress. Thank you Allen Carr.

I bought off on 75% of this.
This is a valuable book. However, I have a few issues with it.First off - if you want to stop eating sugar and junk food you should buy this book and you don’t need to buy Carr’s Emotion Eating. If you have read Emotional Eating you don’t need to read Good Sugar Bad Sugar. They are essentially the same book.Secondly, I don’t agree that you can kick your sugar addiction without will power as the book suggests. I also don’t buy the claim that all sugary foods don’t taste good. I absolutely ate some “bad sugar” foods because they taste so good.Third on the list: As many others have stated, there is a lot of repetition and the book comes across as an infomercial.Fourth - although the book states it as fact, your cravings won’t magically disappear after reading this book. That’s just not realistic.I would recommend this book or Emotional Eating (not both). He makes a lot of good points and it definitely helped me kick my sugar habit. So, thank you Mr. Carr.

Finally, a solution!
I used Allen Carr’s Easy Way to Quit Smoking ten years ago (2009) and never looked back, so when I was discussing my sugar problem with a friend and they suggested this I went out and bought it immediately. I didn’t realize his program covered so many addictions! I’m two months sugar-free and just as advertised, it has been so easy.Yes it’s a little repetitive as he drills home the message, but it works. I’ve recommended Easy Way to Quit Smoking dozens of times and after this I wouldn’t hesitate to do the same for any of Allen Carr’s products.I’m not sure what is with all the negative reviews from people who got the book in exchange for a review. If you don’t have a problem and you have no interest in taking action, how can you possibly judge the effectiveness? Ignore them and go about changing your life.

so if you have made a decision on doing a diet like paleo keto or low carb this book wont really
I had decided I wanted to use the keto diet as my way of eating and keto means cutting out just about all sugar including fruits and eating mostly organic meats and vegetables but this book and the lose weight book both tell you to eat fruit and cut out meat . so if you have made a decision on doing a diet like paleo keto or low carb this book wont really help

Carr's method works
I read Allen Carr's Easy Way to Stop Smoking in 2009 and haven't smoked since. Not even craved a cigarette. So I was curious about his other books. I didn't try them right away, I suppose I was worried that if they didn't work then it would crush my idea that he really did develop a great system to stomp out our bad habits. So I downloaded this recently and decided to give it a try. It was very similar in nature to the EasyWay method: while you might not be startled by new amazing facts, Carr's method is different. It works by undoing the mental and emotional connections to the the habit and product, reversing the brainwashing that years of consumption, advertising and society did to our minds.Have I kicked sugar since reading it? I'd say by amount 80%. Do I miss it? Nope, hardly at all. I am not craving chocolate, cake, cookies, bread, potatoes. It's amazing really to change a 4-decade habit with a book.

Great book
This is a fantastic book, but left me unsure of what I can eat. When craving something for dessert other than fruit, what can I have?

Worth a read, cured my addiction
This is a very interesting book the way its written and researched. It actually worked on my brain so far. All my life i had an addiction to bad sugars and always craving more. Even when i understood it was an addiction I couldn't fully stop. Not until this book. Whilst reading it, it slowly made me stop taking bad sugars by the time i finished something crazy happened that ive never experienced before. All the bad sugars that was very addictive to me didnt seem appealing anymore, it was that simple i didnt crave it anymore. 9 weeks foward and i still have the same mentality. I dont know how long it will work for my brain but is for now and it actually has been the easiest way to quit sugar as i was not craving once after reading this book. The author did deliver, it was that easy. i didnt have to fight myself internally to stay strong. I know this might not work for everyone, but if you are like me and struggling and nothing else worked, this might just do.

Genial

Finito in tre giorni!
