...If it's the material, my machine, or technique but I found this hard to cut as desired without splintering. Plus the pieces were slightly warped. I dunno, will update if I have a better experience on next project.

I dislike how the description says two different types of wood. So I asked which it was. The reply said Basswood, great just what I needed. Got the item, became a little skeptical by the laser burned edges. Placed under the knife blade yes in my cricut, to my surprise after 20 rounds it still hadn’t cut through. I took it out and tried using my X-acto blade, I’m not above a little hard work, guess what, it is plywood. Nope not balsa, not basswood, good old fashion switcharoo basswood plywood. Never would had noticed if I didn’t have to cut it myself. It splits off small layers as you cut. Real solid basswood doesn’t do that you can see in the picture on the top of the three images I’ve managed to cut through so far, thin layers have literally just cracked off. Under each piece is a different material. This is deceptive. I really wish there were honest sellers not trying to just grab peoples money. BE HONEST! SAY ITS PLYWOOD!

I wish I would have known that this wasn't basal wood--I wouldn't have wasted SO MUCH time trying to figure out what the hell was wrong with my Cricut. FALSE ADVERTISING.

The first line of the product calls it balsa wood sheets. However, this is plywood and unusable for any balsa wood project. You can buy a 4'x8' sheet of wood like this for about $10. Vary misleading do not buy if you need balsa wood.
